Read where? Several of the EU member states hate it more than we do - Greece is an obvious example. That is why the EU is being so difficult, to dissuade them from leaving. And we cannot repair the damage. It will have a permanent effect on our economy and politics.

Ah! Many people have their DNA tested when tracing their ancestry and heritage. In the past it was assumed they had Danish genes because of the various Viking raids and settlements a thousand years ago.

The BBC did a series a while back,The Blood of the Vikings where They tried to trace people with Viking ancestors,They found that They could not tell the difference between Danish and English DNA..

Not really as the Varangians were Scandinavians and not Slavs. But they would provide the ruling elite that gave birth to the first Russian state, the Kievan Rus. They ruled over a portion of East Slavs who'd inherit the Russian name from those Varangians. The term Rus comes from Old Swedish rothsmen which can be translated as "the men who row". For instance, the Finnish name for Sweden is Ruotsi. So, the original Russians were Vikings but the present-day Russians aren't. They just inherited their name. And that small Varangian elite, the Ruriks, were quickly assimilated into the Slavic population. Funnily, the "typical" Russian/Slavic names Oleg or Igor are actually Scandinavian in origin (Oleg/Helge - Igor//Ingvar).

As for the Danish-English relation, one source of the "Anglo-Saxon" migration to Britain was Jutland which is pretty much today's Denmark and the Schleswig-Holstein area in Germany.

"Inbred gravy" isn't the worst of it when you think about Adam and Eve.

Either:

They had two kids and one died but as we're still here Cain must've done the "muckies" with his mother - which means Incest!

Or:

Adam and Eve had more than two kids and at least one was a girl, in which case Adam did the "muckies" with at least one of his daughters - which means Incest!

Or:

Caine did the "muckies" with one or more of his sisters - which means Incest!

Or:

Eve did the "muckies" with one of her sons - which means incest!

Or:

Adam, Eve, Caine or any one or more of any other kids that Adam and Eve had, did the "muckies" with some apes or monkeys or something to produce us - which means Bestaility!

All of which makes the Bible's condemnation of incest and bestiality "a bit rich" at the very least.

The only possible 'save' for us (and the Bible), is that other humans were present on earth while Adam and Eve and both/all of their kids existed and were not related to any of them.
