Golf star Tiger Woods was arrested around 3 a.m. Monday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence in Jupiter, Florida, Jupiter police spokeswoman Kristin Rightler said. Woods was booked into a local jail and released on his own recognizance with no bond a few hours later, according to the Palm Beach County sheriff's office's online records.

I agree with the sentiments of Manchester and how the people stayed defiant and came out in their droves to support family or friends or just cheer on strangers running for their city and for charities as is the usual thing on these occasions. It was good to see the city coming together as an innocence was lost on that fateful night a week ago.

Went to my friends' girlfriends' 50th birthday bash last night at a Greek Orthodox church hall-man do they know how to have a good time with a DJ playing all the usual dance stuff from the 70's, 80's, 90's and beyond but also a load of Greek tunes which were pretty infectious and foot-tapping. It was the very first big function I had ever been too without my family and it was quite odd but having gone with two other friends I didn't feel awkward and we were on my friend's family table so I knew his mother and his sister with her family as well as my friends' son too. It was a joyous occasion if a little loud.





I have mixed feelings about Rolf Harris today. He was acquitted of the remaining charges by a jury that failed to reach a verdict and won't be back for another retrial. I am relieved that he wasn't found guilty again but I cannot get that nagging feeling in the back of my mind that he MIGHT have done something...I don't think he is a total scumbug like Stuart Hall or the recently jailed Fred Talbot but we'll never really know what happened all those years ago - I am pretty sure things went on with other celebrities but with Rolf, who was a major influence on my life with his cartoons and paintings, I always hoped it wasn't the case with him. I think now he just wants to be left to look after his wife(who is ill) and somehow continue with his life. If there were victims I feel sorry for them but how do you prove something really happened 40 years ago?

I actually forced myself to spend some money today at Brent Cross Shopping Centre on a new suit and a casual jacket & trousers - I am more a saver than spender - but I am always surprised at the prices of clothes these days and I noticed that the price differed between paying for a name and own branded stuff. One of my favourite brands at M&S(Marks & Spencer) is their own branded stuff called Blue Harbour. The other thing I noticed was a load of kids being strapped into this bouncy thing and shooting up into the ceiling - they of course loved it but I am not so sure my stomach would still be stable once I landed

I would have been at the MEN Arena tonight watching KISS but the gig has been cancelled due to the attack, I donated the money I have had refunded from the concert to the justgiving appeal run by the Manchester Evening News.

It's about bloody time but I fear it's far too little and way way too late.

As a religion the whole of Islam has sat with their hands under their collective arses too long and allowed these vile bastards room to thrive, is it any surprise that terrorism is the first thing most of us would say if we were asked to associate any word with Islam.
