Smeg! Lost to the Canadians after going to an extra end, if only we had beaten the Japanese and the Danes!! Ah well the men are still left in the curling so lets hope they can do the business for GBR. Fantastic result for Australia in the snowboarding halfpipe-gold for Torah (in hebrew that mean LAW).

Yes, but one of the danish team members appeared to kick a moving stone back in towards the centre of the target. The UK team decided not to contest it, but probably didn't see exaclty what happened. The game could have gone to an extra end if he moving stone had continued moving out of the scoring area.

According to the British Olympic Association, both skips and the umpire saw what happened at the time and agreed to carry on playing.

Watching T.V last night. th Discovery Channel is coming out with a follow up on Planetd Earth. I love these as well there are so many things to see on Our World and it just enlightens those that care too. What came to mind was at the end the BBC is involved. What came to mind was the Filming and photography on these series...To me it is stunning! But it seems the people that the BBC has to do the filming are by far the best i have ever seen. I mean I watch Top Gear because of what they do with a scene, bright, vivid colors and style....No one has a hands up on the BBC....

Re the Danish girl putting her foot near the British stone. A number of BBC viewers rang and e-mailed the BBC to point this out but it was decided to continue playing-the wrong decision? Possibly but then really and truly the Danes were given a tremendous let off by Eve Muirhead. Recriminations apart I think we played reasonably well, the only bad game was allowing the Japanese to steal the match-she will come back older and wiser next time-lets face it Rhona Martin didn't win everything when she first started. Incidentally there is a pic of the Danish skip Madeleine Dupont topless if anyone is interested-can be found via Google.

Did you know Top Gear was the most popular show on BBC iplayer last year and on youtube as well. Even though it was revealed as a set up, James May making an arse of himself with the caravan airship was one of the funniest things I've seen on tv in years. I was going to make a comment about the live Eastenders and who killed Archie but it occured to me that the US like this show and are miles behind so I won't mention it.

On the subject of comics I still have a number of Gerry Anderson related 90's comics complete with their free gifts. I keep them in a ziplock folder and I read somewhere that in good condition and complete they could be worth upwards of £25-£30GBP not bad for a £2.50 return

I see that the Odeon chain is having a paddy with Disney because they won't be alowed to show Tim Burton's 'Alice in Wonderland' for more than 12 weeks due to the company wishing to put it out on DVD in May.
Is it me or were films on for an average of 7-14 days years ago? I seem to remember having to rush to see the latest 'Bond' or whatever before it disappeared. Now they're all on for bloody years, and in this era of multiplexes the latest blockebuster is showing on 90% of 'em almost 24 hours a day

Those of you in this country will know that it is wrong to call it the Union Jack-it is only a Jack when flown on a ship, whereas it should be normally referred to as Union flag. If hung upside down it is regarded as a distress signal. The Royal standard is flown at Buckingham Palace and Sandringham when the Queen is in residence, when away the Union flag is flown-this is only recent due to the death of Diana, Princess of Wales.

I think sometimes Disney have too much power and to release a film a few months after being shown on a big screen smacks of greediness. I seem to recall that films came out for a number of weeks and then disappeared whereas now they last a lot longer in cinemas and in some cases are re-released for special occasions or school holidays, Christmas, Easter etc. I saw the original Disney film 'Alice in Wonderland' but felt it was spoilt making it too Americanised. We got the soundtrack and read-a-long book several months after it came out-obviously this doesn't apply to DVD's.
I also believe that the time to show big films on television(terrestrial) has decreased by a year because it used to be at least four years before it was shown(And this was before SKY came along)
