If I were to suddenly cop it, there would be an external drive full of pretty pictures of a dozen selected young ladies and sexy videos of Sophie Moone, as well as much of the same on another external drive and some DVDs which are backup copies. My girlfriend wouldn't know what to do with the external drives, so they'd probably end up with my brother who would then have the fun task of keeping it secret from his wife.

If my girl did see the contents, she wouldn't care too much as most of it is softcore and lezzo stuff - I don't think she'd even balk too much at the hardcore m/f stuff as she has watched a couple of things with me before.

The bigger problem would be my stash of some 300+ magazines, including most of Club International from 1989, three volumes of Men's World, a number of special PRP editions and some hardcore stuff like Pr*vate magazine. She wouldn't care that much if it were one, two, or even a dozen - but THREE HUNDRED, all neatly ordered in my typically OCD fashion? They'd probably get used as fuel for a back garden bonfire, but then as she is a collector like me she might research the Internet and find out that some of these issues are sought-after.

The truth is that if I disappeared suddenly I wouldn't be around to care - the scariest thing would be incapacitated for a length of time that allowed people the freedom to snoop around and find stuff while I am still breathing. There was the episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm - previously mentioned in this thread - where Jeff got Larry to "rescue" his stash... With hilarious consequences.

The truth is that I'd rather be honest about this sort of thing - that way things won't end up being such a surprise for unsuspecting wives/girlfriends/friends/relatives.

My wife knows nothing of my collection, and I keep it relatively secure. Everything is stored digitally on external usb hard drives. I use TrueCrypt to encrypt the drives. Works so well that my drives are hidden in plain sight.

If they are plugged in without TrueCrypt being activated, the drive is automatically formatted. If plugged in and TrueCrypt IS running, you would have to know my access code which is 24 characters in length.

Yeah, I think I'm relatively secure....

A real problem here.

I'm 66, single, in good health but won't live forever and don't want one of my daughters to discover or have that memory of me.

I'm old, old-school, so most of my very large stash is VHS/DVD. Little actually on computer.

I've been thinking about drastically downsizing stash but don't want to just put it in the trash can.

No "porn buddies" so if anyone out there would be interested, PM me and maybe we could work out something whereby you get a gift for postage costs.

That's very generous of you and I'm you'll make a lot of people happy with your gesture. As a few people were saying earlier, they have the bulk of their stuff on external hard drives and flash drives. Is it possible you could transfer your DVD's to external drives before parting with the physical evidence?

Went to a job interview (you can probably guess where this is going) don't have a printer so decided to copy my CV onto a little gig stick thing, presented it to my potential employer and the first question I got asked was, "all I can see is pictures of naked ladies, do you recognise them?"
My response went something like errrrrr....

Even though the rest of the interview was fairly positive I failed to follow up this job opportunity.
