The scene you're referencing is from Sleepless in Seattle. Easily confused. Both starred Meg Ryan and were Nora Ephron screenplays. (Oh God. I even know who wrote them?) Anyways, the clip is on youtube.

Also, the girl getting all weepy is Tom Hanks wife in real life. (Damn it. Why do I know that?)

Oh dear! Which of us should be the most embarrassed? But I knew that starting this thread would irradicate all traces of my reputation anyway...

Thanks for the very necessary correction nyykrmv. Whenever I'm too lazy to double-check I tend to mix scenes and actors up in a chaotic whirl until every film I ever talk about sounds like Blazing Saddles.

Red face Can't remember the name

It's a Farrelly Brothers movie (I'm not a fan of their stuff). It stars Jimmy Fallon (why is this guy popular?) and Drew Barrymore (a little of her goes a long way). He plays a dyed-in-the-wool Boston Red Socks fan and she's a career woman. Guess what happens. It came on TV a couple of weeks ago and I watched it. To my shock, I really enjoyed it. I just can't remember the name of the damned thing.
