Well, not really. He won his first 2 world championships with the Benneton team. Ferrari really weren't winning much before they signed Schumacher so it could be argued he did just as much for them as they ever did for him. Having said that, he's still a dull, smug, ego-maniacal git.

Merry Christmas all,I notice the Pope got attacked in the street by a woman who tried to get him last year.I don't like the man but you can't condone violence,you have to wonder at his security team though.

Ok its Xmas Day, and I've just done my January Sales shopping! On internet of course. M and S - got my work suits and shirts for the year - and Halfords.

Point being its 25 Dec, is nothing sacred!

Also, wouldn't mind, but half the things I wanted are already sold out!

As to the 'ram raid' on the Pope, it looked to us more like the security guard got the woman first with a rugby tackle and her momentum dragged down others, which caused a house of cards effect, rather than her actually hitting him.

And another thought... he's supposed to be 'in good health', but the pinnacle of the church year starts early 'so he doesn't get too tired'. Hmmm.

Must go, have to buy a new sofa and book a summer holiday before the Queen comes on...

Apparently, it's an "official" white Christmas according to the Met Office (at least for betting purposes!) if snow falls on any one of 11 designated sites:

Snow falling in Glasgow and Edinburgh today made it official.

Personally, I prefer the unofficial method of looking out of the bedroom window! For me, it wasn't a white Christmas this year, but as I was driving to a friend's house for lunch, I was quite glad that there wasn't any snow.

Oh dear, that does sound like a "Bah Humbug" moment! Pass the Egg Nog and another mince pie!
