Just before the turn of the millenium, I used to frequent a club south of Detroit.

I met a dancer named "Phoenix, the Fire Princess".
She was semi-famous and used to tour clubs and do her thing.

Anyway, I paid $5.00 to remove a garter from her thigh.
I wasn't allowed to use my hands; just any other means.
I used my mouth and took a longggg time.

After her show, I got an autographed picture from her.
I lost it in a move, but if I ever find it, I'll post it.

I still have the garter, though!

I haven't been to a strip club for a long, long time. 10+ years. From my experiences, the problem with them is that they're Strip clubs. There's some mysterious, sensual seduction crap going on, when very few chicks have the personality to carry it off.

I would go semi frequently when I was in my late teen, early 20s. A few times in a couple of weeks. Then nothing for while. Then a few more time in a short period. The strippers were doing shit I wasn't really interested in when I think about it.

They're supposed to do some exciting mysterious, sensual dance. But it was often not that good, not exciting, and they couldn't do it. Looking back, I would've been satisfied had they just taken off their outfit and let me look at their bodies up close. You might fondle their boobs and bum a bit, and be done with it. But no, just some BS dance.

It was a rip-off, and the girls may've flogged some money out of me and maybe I spent a bit more than I could afford. But when you compare that to amount of money I would've spent without that bullcrap. It's a pittance.

Haven't been to a strip club in years but when I did I found the experience varied wildly on the girls you meet there. You can see some gorgeous girls who are not very outgoing or have a poor attitude and you have a poor experience with them. I remember once in a club in Edinburgh seeing a stunning girl, really beautiful and an amazing body to go with it. I asked her if she would like to go for a private dance she said 'sure' and off we went to the private area. I coughed up the 20 quid and we weren't even sixty seconds in before I made up some bullshit about having to make an important phone call, apologized and left. She just oozed poor attitude. I felt awkward and uncomfortable and just wanted to get away from her as quickly as possible. On the other hand I've met some girls in clubs that you'd only say were averagely pretty but had buckets of personality and were terrific company and I had a great time with them.

When I visited the city the first few times in the early 1980s, I frequented The Sunset Cinema Club by the bus station, the strippers were housewives, nothing glamorous, but enough to give a 19 year a boner!
I went back there about 7 years ago, the strippers are stunning Eastern European models, fucking top-notch bodies, BUT huge and I DO mean huge security that loiter in the reception giving you EVERY indication what MIGHT happen if your stupid enough to get your mobile phone out during the 'cabaret' between films being shown.
I prefer the housewives from 30 years ago, rumours were rife they'd wank you off for a fiver after their routine, but I was too nervous to make advances.

The Sunset Strip...!!! By god, those were the days!! Changed name to some other less memorable one a while back though. There were a mother and daughter team that used to do the strips there some weeks, taking turns between the strips and reception, which was odd. Funny, but I recall that the mom had a better body than the daughter, in my humble opinion.

Just been back to what was the Sunset Strip Cinema Club; now called Adult World Birmingham. Didn't stop to watch the film, but did enjoy a few interesting lap dances in the back room with a very fit brunette for £20 a throw.... lol. Interesting reviews on a certain well known punting review site in regard to the place too.

You guys are wasting your time - get yourself to Edinburgh
and visit these ' Saunas ' - New Town , Scorpios , Blair Street and London Street
you will never got to a Strip Club again - been to 2 recently and its wonderful
( and I did not have a massage or a sauna experience - or enter one )

I used to visit fairly regularly. A new manager came in and enforced a ‘no wanking’ rule quite aggressively. I haven’t been back since. This would be about 9-10 years ago. Had a few good times in there though. Got a lovely bj from a woman while her husband watched & some of the dancers can be ‘accommodating’.

Has Amsterdam experience closed in Hurst St?

I have two vivid memories of times gone by.

First was an 'establishment' almost opposite what was then The Windmill Theatre. There was a small charge 'at the door. Then you entered another room where a 'gorilla' demanded another wad. At that point you went through another door and found yourself outside in a yard. WTF I thought. The real action took place just across that yard and thankfully no more charges. Quite a good show but never went back there.

The other, in deepest Soho, was called 'The Dolls House'. Given my previous experience I was quite surprised that this was just one IIRC modest entrance fee. And a really good show. Went back a couple of times on my infrequent visits to the capital.
