Default Thats crap, wish I hadnt bought it...

ok, we all go out shopping at some time with a view to get something thats not a regular purchase, what did you go out to buy and when you got home thought "what a pile of crap!"?

i bought a keyboard a couple of weeks ago for my eldest son as hed broke his, its really nice looking...then he asked if he could swap for mine and i said yes...
i should have known, its the biggest pile of crap keyboard ever, the keys you have to punch to get them to work and ive had to put a spell checker on my browser as the keys are smaller and i press 2 at a time so it takes ages to type something!

Default Get the money back if you bought crap, otherwise i`ve no sympathy for you

There`s no problem as far as i can see , if somethings not all that you`d expected just take it back or send it back. Although sending isn`t the most ideal form of return , well not unless you include an e-mail and a covering note written in such a way as to give the impression you`re not a berk.

I recently bought myself a watch (After some months of peer pressure ) from Dipples a local jeweler round where i`m currently living and eight days later the steel locking strap (Whatever you call it ) came loose. So i took it right back and after a small song and dance about it having been a wedding present for my new brother in law ,which as it`s fallen apart has now made me look cheap etc. They upgraded my watch to a very tasty Citizen Eco-Drive , and also made me a preferred customer.

What i`m saying is it nearly always pays to return items you`re not happy with , or crap to use your terminology. Just make sure you have a story of woe that puts them on the back foot and has them fretting about your future displeased word of mouth, that way you tend to not only get the problem solved but also a little bit extra for your trouble

See that`s what`s wrong with the general population today (Not us , them out there) they`re far too willing to sigh shrug their shoulders and put up with things even though they`re not happy with them

But what you need to remember if that GreenSkull is an expert in the field of negotiation and customer complaints. His thread Buying tips, products and personal views is an online seminar in which you can master in minutes techniques which took years of experiment, trial and error, mortal combat with employees of PC World and Next to acquire and develop.

Before following the advice of GreenSkull, study and learn from his techniques.

What's the difference between a sheep and a Wartburg Knight? It's less embarrassing being seen coming out the back of a sheep.

I would add anything made and relentlessly plugged on telly by Ronco as sheer crap. The record vacuum cleaner was about as much use as a nine-bob note.

My other great downer is the Hondo guitar. Cheap musical instruments today are excellent. I don't know of anyone who played a Hondo and didn't want to drop it in the fire.

My latest pair of Reboks and a pair of Browning Boots. It wasnt a good year for me and shoes. The Reboks have a toe that wraps up from the sole. Within a month or 2, long after any possibility of return, the toe piece began to peel off.

The boots were supposed to be waterproofed with Gortex. They were also the exact same model that took me about 6 or 7 years of very active use to wear down. I loved them. They were the most comfortable boot I ever wore and never leaked a drop. I waited at least another 6 - 8 months after purchase (from Cabella's) to wear them, making full use of the old ones. The first time I stepped into water with the new pair, they leaked like I was wearing a pair of old Converse canvas sneakers, flooding them almost instantly. I sent 2 emails to their boot division. They never even bothered to respond. Test your boots seals immediately.

Big Grin Hi! I Kiwi & I'm a porn addict.

From late teens to the advent of the net, when I virtually stopped buys porno mags, the number of wank mags I bought that I judged by the cover alone - some newsagents were a bit too crowded to stand flicking through a chosen mag so where bought quickly based on the cover. Only to get home and discover that the cover was the only best pic or that what was promised on the cover to be inside ... wasn't.

I never bought any of the following mags but they might have drawn my attention in a crowded newsagents, and I might have grabbed one, paid & escaped quickly off the premises.

Fanny (OMG on the cover!) Who cares what the inside is like?! I'm buying it

Sure to be dissapointed

Young Beavers

young .... mmm?

My first introduction to Uriah Heep and Rainbow. It was the early 80's and I was sort of into NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal) as it was more rockier than the alternate disco stuff getting around. At times I was buying LP's purely because of the name or the cover of the LP as there was no internet then to research any artists. I had stuff ranging from Judas Priest to Diamond Head to Angel Witch etc. and one day I saw a couple of albums by groups I had heard of but didn't know anything about. These albums looked cool and should, by my reckoning rip my speakers to shreads. What I saw was Rainbow's "Straight Between the Eyes" and Uriah Heep's "Abominog".
Now if you saw these, you would expect to be rockin' yer arse off....

Well I tell you something else...they are the lamest pieces of tripe ever to be preserved on vinyl in the history of music.
In later years I bought UH's "Very 'eavy..." and "Salisbury" and they are excellent Lp's, so I don't know what possessed them to do the crap they did. God knows what the other Rainbow and UH albums were like that were from the same period. I was never game to find out.
