Do You Ever Get "The Wife Syndrome" With Your Favorites Porn Stars?

Perhaps it would be more fair if I explain. "The Wife Syndrome" is a term I invented a while back, describing the situation of overdosing on a specific porn star, usually a favorite.

Those of you who are married may be familiar with how it can be with a long-time wife. You love her (with any luck), and you still enjoy having sex with her. On the other hand, you get to see her naked pretty much every day. You watch her getting out of the shower and getting dressed on a more-or-less regular basis, which is not a particularly erotic activity (even if she does still have to slap your groping hands away). There is no body on the planet with which you are more familiar than hers.

For this reason, simply seeing your wife's body may no longer give you the awesome thrill that it once did. The first time she undressed for you, all those years ago, you took her in trembling hands and rushed her off to bed. These days, when she walks by nude (all too casually) you think to yourself "Hmm, nice breasts" and go about your business.

Alas, the same thing can happen with your favorite porn star. You've seen most (or all) of this woman's movies. You've downloaded a huge number of pictures of her. You've probably wanked yourself almost to death looking at her. And now, well, you've gotten so used to looking at her that just perhaps the tiniest part of the magic is gone.

I myself have several favorite porn stars, who I tend to rotate through. Depending on my mood, I might be watching a lot of Renee Summers, Kay Parker, Honey Wilder, or Siobhan Hunter. I may even go to my B list, which usually includes such lovely ladies as Tawny Pearl, Kandi Barbour, or Lisa DeLeeuw.

Ah, Lisa DeLeeuw. My latest victim of The Wife Syndrome.

Not her fault, really. On video she remains just as hot as ever. My mistake? I ran through her entire VEF thread recently, and snatched up any scenes that I didn't remember having in my collection. I got, in fact, enough scenes to burn two three+ hour DVDs. Then I watched both DVDs, in one all-nighter, while I went about other business. Six or so hours of Lisa DeLeeuw? Perhaps a bit too much to digest in one sitting. And so, now when I look at Ms. DeLeeuw I still see the same mischievous grin, beautiful breasts, and exotic fire bush. The effect of all these features, however, has been diminished.

Fortunately, in my experience The Wife Syndrome is almost always temporary. It simply means that I should rotate to another favorite for a while, or more sensibly perhaps not concentrate on any of my favorites. Maybe if I do a little random browsing I can find a fresh favorite, someone who can give me that special thrill you only get from someone who is new.

And then, before I know it, I'll be wanting some more Lisa DeLeeuw. After all, if I didn't really like her I wouldn't have triggered The Wife Syndrome, just as if I didn't really love my mate she never would have become my wife.

So... do you ever fall victim to The Wife Syndrome? Who have you burned out on? Has it been temporary, or more serious? What do you do when you're tired, short or long term, in an old favorite? Inquiring minds want to know.

Its like that catchy tune you heard in your youth

It pushed all the right buttons,put you in a great frame of mind and even hearing it occasionally now can take you back to that time BUT

Then down the track you discover this new radio station thats playing all the classics
non-stop on repeat and suddenly that wonderful song becomes so familiar that you'd prefer to hear something else of equal standing

Fellow wife syndrome sufferers,

I think most true pornstar lovers, porn followers, and generally folks who dig specific stars (for whatever reason) tend to fall into the "wife syndrome" after a while. I have been lucky to have kept a rather varied and voluminous turnover of personnal favorites, which allows me to "switch" to another favorite when seems to have less that the desired effect when contemplating their masterful skills on screen. Inteterstingly, I was also wondering if there are any others out there who have specific stars that haven't fallen under the wife syndrome category although all the events which would lead to a wife syndrome were present. I'm obviously refering to "that" star, the one who seems to be impossible to get enough of, no matter how hard you try! Although my own "holy trinity" (Tiffany Mynx, Julia Taylor, Olivia Del Rio) have had their turn in the wife syndrome corner, some other ladies weem to have never had their chance to "sit one out" due to the over-exposure or over-consumption of their material. In my case, two stars which I seem to truly never tire of no matter how much I try to overdose on their material (and I have tried!) are Carmen Vera and Renee Pornero. It just seems that there isn't enough of their stuff to render my own appreciation for their appearances any less than enjoyable.

another issue is that male hominids are designed to have a wondering eye... designed to spread our seed widely given our low intrinsic investment in a successful sperm-egg coupling. even the heads of our johnsons are designed to remove a competitor's fluids from the chamber.

for this reason i usually try to be selective about the media i collect, even on my favorite models. a single intense set or clip can keep my lust going for years on a model, while making the mistake of collecting a couple mediocre sets can pretty-much ruin her for me for all time.
