You can build a golden ideology that will lead smart humans to utopia, yet most humans are really not all that smart, and they are certainly not selfless, so you end up with guards dragging screaming prisoners in shit-stained clothes through a secret police dungeon, because they weren't being "socialist" enough.

In the end it is always necessary to thump humans mercilessly in order to get them to do things which fundamentally lie against their own self interests, why do you think Orwell coined the line, "the future is a boot smashing into a human face, forever"?

Let's see you build a socialist ideology that takes human nature into account and actually works. I dare you.

That's part of the problem with Marxism it may all look good on paper to you but when applied in real life it always fails.

In reality Marx knew bugger all about real work and far less than that about human nature.
