Most likely one of the hosts like pimpandhost is playing up or the post is dead
If you use imagehostgrabber just select the number of a post in the top right hand corner which isnt showing then try and download the pics...if you get aborted the post most likely is dead Quite a few posts have been showing up like that of late on a range of imagehosts To see if a host is having widespead issues try entering the website name here You can usually work out what host a poster uses simply by clicking on their name and selecting find more posts http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ |

P&H is clearly down - it's used occasionally elsewhere and pics there are also down. Why anyone uses P&H instead of Imagevenue is quite beyond me.....

Horses for courses I suspect
P & H offer far more than imagevenue 4 types(gif, png jpeg, bmp)of files versus 1(jpeg/jpg) Larger sized images 5mb versus 3mb Zipfiles versus ? Imagevenues only downside is that they delete inactive pics after a year of disuse. They all have outages its just thesedays imagevenue hasnt had any really bad weeks like they had several years ago Just goes to prove no imagehost should be seen as a safe and secure storage facility Last edited by buttsie; July 22nd, 2011 at 05:12 AM.. Imagevenue Upload Speed
I have just got my first scanner.
I have uploaded some magazine sets via Imagevenue. http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/sho...12&postcount=2 http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/sho...42&postcount=3 I have been able to post them to their correct threads, so that's all good. HOWEVER, I have noticed that the time it takes Imagevenue to upload the images scanned by me to the point I can "copy" & "paste" to "second message board if first one fails etc" (I can't remember the exact words) takes very much longer than when I was attempting to upload images that I had obtained from other sites. I have used the small size option for thumbnail sizes, and tried cutting my image size in half in the "pixel" box, but they are still taking a very long time. Any advice? Thanks. imagevenue server responses can be slow at times (response page for image code comes from a different server than those you've uploaded to). if this happens, you can either wait some hours before you upload more, or chose a different host.
each host has frequent downtimes / days of bad performance. that' something you have to live with. also, the use of existing threads is something you should take into account when you post here |

Problems with Imagevenue.
I've just got my computer back with a new hard-disk. Everything's hunkdory except I don't seem to be able load any images from my computer onto the VEF and it's driving me mad. Any idea's?
Also whilst perusing some of the threads in the magazine section, it takes ages with some of the images to come through and when I click on a particular one (especially if it's imagevenue) it just say connecting and no image shows. I have quite a few images from the late eighties and early nineties which need to be shown! If anyone has any idea's, please help. Or P.M. me. I'm now going through Firefox, but I can't see that having any hindrance. |

Error while using Image uploader
Hi all,
I've been trying to load some images using the forum uploader, never had any problems but suddenly when I try to upload multiple images every other one fails and I get an ERROR with no reason. Any ideas? TIA |

@treehugger, it's not a forum uploader, it's a tool of an image host service called pimp&host. if you would use (and read) existing threads on related topics, you would know already. and if it doesn't work, chances are very high that the service is simply down (again).

Try another imagehost like imagebam would be my advice as your spreading the risk of all your content being down at the same time or simply wait till they fix what ever the issue is I suspect with umpteen people loading up 50-125 pics per post in many threads con-currently there will always be occasions where they get close to their maximum limits Servers from time to time malfunction/get overloaded and need to be replaced/repaired which all takes time Downloading from imagevenue I just tried downloading an entire thread of 288 pics using imagehost grabber and 26 simply aborted after the maximum 15 tries Manually none were opening(edit - now back working) That thing about not putting all your content into one image/file host comes back again Last edited by buttsie; July 26th, 2011 at 01:57 AM.. |
