Huh- did I get cut-off from pimpandhost?

Looking for some help in uploading using the pimpandhost at the bottom of the Quick Reply window.
Worked great for the first 25 or so postings - now it shows upload, then compete but I cannot see any thumbnails, only the names of the photos.
I post them and guessing others can see. I cannot see them but still get Thanks?

Also other posters (even recent) are randomly blank. Always on PnH.
Bad sign.

So I am wondering if I hit some limit with pimpandhost or perhaps my ISP.
Comcast here in the USA.

Would be nice to get back to posting. Have a lot of great stuff.

This doesn't seem to be a "problem", because I have a feeling it's another VEF step toward commercial rip-off: Today, when I clicked on an old posting of mine, I got "www.myfreecams.*" when it should have been "www.imagebam.com/*". This effect persisted for a few more clicks, and then disappeared. (I.e. now I get to see my pictures under Imagebam again.)

I'm posting this to make clear: If this is a new ad campaign by VEF and persists over several days, I'm gone. In other words: Please DON'T take this final step, VEF admin!

Imagebam is a 3rd party site -

VEF has no control over how it pays for its servers costs which your FREE pics are costing it

Get yourself an ad-blocker for your browser like the majority of us using firefox or opera have done if it irritates so much

Most have them apart from IE...look to your browser add-ons/extensions/tools section

Threatening VEF admin with leaving will get you nothing but
- GOODBYE close the door on the way out

The attachment section in the quick reply has been out of use for a long time
Its mentioned in the forum rules not to use it but to use either

www.imagebam.com or
www.imagevenue.com (most reliable at the moment)

Pimpandhost is OK at times but all too often it goes awol

I certainly wouldnt recommend using it even if it is owned by the same guy who owns VEF

I'd be sending a PM to a Mod or posting in the help section as a stand along request about you not seeing the pics.

I'm sorry if it wasn't you guys who set this up but Imagebam. If it happens again, I will avoid using them for sure. I don't think an ad blocker would help in this case, because the whole browser window got taken up by the "ad" - I wouldn't see the picture I want to see, either...

Are you sure this was ImageBam?

it's not unusual that an image host is down for a while (and for pimpandhost it's quite typical). no worries, images will appear when the servers are available again.

not true, we don't recommend it. it's a service from the guy who owns this forum (so we have to live with it), but all people who take care of this forum, don't like it much. it's too slow and too unreliable.

my recommendation is imagevenue.

I have recently carried out a system restore and uninstalled a number of jpg "image grabber" type programs as I was unable to find one that did what I wanted.

I have just found out how to use "ImageHost Grabber" itself correctly to do what I needed.

However, today I am noticing a number of threads that are empty of images.

The text, thanks etc are there, but the images themselves (obviously the important thing) are not showing.

For example, in this thread I can't see them.
