Some other silly examples (not only concerning mil. extremism):
  • All smokers are careless bums, who don't mind if their habit kills others.
  • All Russians are homophobes.
  • "When we let Poland into the EU, they'll steal all our cars."
  • All women are just a bit dumber than men (scientifically "proven" 100 years ago by Broca).
  • Most Christians secretly admire the Ku Klux Klan.
  • Men with big noses are great in bed.

I did you the courtesy of reading all of your post despite the extremely silly and way off the point examples.

But then I'm happy to see and listen to everything the other persons point of view has to say without dismissing it because of something I disagree with. You cannot have a proper discussion if one party is going to start moaning the first time they hear or see something they dislike.

Freedom of Speech is not just about being able to open your trap and letting your belly rumble but listening to the other side of the discussion with an open mind and only then making your decision to agree or not.

I watched it but the audio was all garbled. I assume it was the typical (radical?) Muslim actions in a non-Muslim cemetery showing the fact that theirs is the only way and all others are false and not to be tolerated. Do this to theirs and it is jihad. They are really two faced when it comes to truth, justice, and the Muslim way.

Consider the time the Quran was wrote.

Quote from http://islam.about.com/od/terrorism/f/terrorism.htm:

Quote:
At the time the Quran was revealed (7th century A.D.), there was no United Nations or Amnesty International to keep the peace or expose injustice. Inter-tribal violence and vengeance was commonplace. As a matter of survival, one must have been willing to defend against aggression from all sides. Nevertheless, the Quran repeatedly urges forgiveness and restraint, and warns believers not to "transgress" or become "oppressors." Some examples:

If anyone slays a person
- unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land -
it would be as if he slew all people.
And if anyone saves a life,
it would be as if he saved the life of all people.
Quran 5:32
Quote from http://islam.about.com/od/terrorism/...rism_verse.htm:

Quote:
Question: Aren't there some verses of the Quran that condone "killing the infidel"?

Answer: The Qur'an commands Muslims to stick up for themselves in a defensive battle -- i.e. if an enemy army attacks, then Muslims are to fight against that army until they stop their aggression. All of the verses that speak about fighting/war in the Quran are in this context.

There are some specific verses that are very often "snipped" out of context, either by critics of Islam discussing "jihadism," or by misguided Muslims themselves who wish to justify their aggressive tactics.

"Slay Them" - If They Attack You First
For example, one verse (in its snipped version) reads: "slay them wherever you catch them" (Quran 2:191). But who is this referring to? Who are "they" that this verse discusses? The preceding and following verses give the correct context:

"Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for God loves not transgressors. And slay them wherever you catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter... But if they cease, God is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful... If they cease, let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression" (2:190-193).

It is clear from the context that these verses are discussing a defensive war, when a Muslim community is attacked without reason, oppressed and prevented from practicing their faith. In these circumstances, permission is given to fight back -- but even then Muslims are instructed not to transgress limits, and to cease fighting as soon as the attacker gives up. Even in these circumstances, Muslim are only to fight directly against those who are attacking them, not innocent bystanders or non-combatants.
I don't have any problem with religion at all ... to each his own. But it's not my way. Like Richard Dawkins wrote in 'The God Delusion' (great book by the way):

Quote:
There is something infantile in the presumption that somebody else has a responsibility to give your life meaning and point… The truly adult view, by contrast, is that our life is as meaningful, as full and as wonderful as we choose to make it.

I stopped reading the thread after the first page. Political correctness, and multiculturalism are the factors that are destroying every nation in Europe, and it's doing the same here in the states. The Muslims do not assimilate/melt into the communities/cultures in which they reside. Global Sharia Law, and an Islamic Caliphate is their desired end game. The "no go" areas in France alone are evidence enough. Here in the states, the Minneapolis/St. Paul area of Minnesota is freighted with them. Several of which have been arrested on terrorism charges, and several more are known to have trained in Yemen, and are known to be fighting with ISIS. Until we take the penis of PC out of our mouths, and speak the truth about the source of the threat, we will continue to see these attacks across the globe, and they will only get worse. The Baptists, Catholics, Mormons, Buddhists, and Hindus aren't the ones committing these acts. Enough is enough.

And, before you start giving me hell, where are the voices of the "moderate Muslims" speaking out against the actions of the "radicals"?

Boat dude you might want to read all posts some of them are in the same vein as yours and some are not quite so much. I agree about PC, therefore I usually try and go against it but I still try to be at least semi-polite in my posts too. (Not a shot at you, I think yours is fine).

Don't need to read any posts Santee my man. The truth speaks for itself.
