I agree with the only advice reply here. Slowly, and a lot of lube.
Firstly, let's start out with the obvious stuff.
1. She HAS to want to do it. Anyone who doesn't want to do it will NEVER enjoy it.
2. You both have to be prepared. Clean yourselves, and make sure that anything going in is also clean, and free of anything even vaguely sharp (i.e. fingernails!!!). Also, don't forget inside. The rectum is a storehouse for waste. Going to the toilet prior to doing anything anal will clear it out, and you shouldn't try to cram anything more into a packed storehouse, it can actually cause pain...
3. Set aside lots of time and patience. It's a process.
One thing you have to remember is that the anus has a sphincter muscle in it- a ring of muscle that has a natural state of being closed (i.e. tensed up). We've been trained since a very young age to keep it that way, unless we're going to the toilet, at which point, we relax it to allow stuff to come out. So it is entirely possible for stuff to go in (not Southpark style- for fans of the series), and when you think about it, a penis is not that much bigger than what comes out.
So, besides "stretching" the muscle using toys of gradually increasing size, the best thing you can do is actually help your lovely lady learn to relax the sphincter muscle. It's a natural reaction to tense it, and when you try to extend (stretch) a muscle that's tense, you have a tendency to tear it. But, extending a muscle that is limber (not loose... no lady wants to hear that she will have a loose anus) is actually quite easy, and you'd be surprised how far a muscle can really stretch before breaking point if it's ready for it.
So... before you start to progressively ram larger and larger things up her butt, try this...
Insert a small, comfortable thing in her butt with lots of lube. Start with a little finger. Get her used to the sensation of having something against her anal opening. Get her to (I know it sounds counter-intuitive) squeeze her butt closed to stop you inserting. Then, get her to relax, and as you do, gentlly put some pressure on the anus to try and start inserting. When you hit some resistance, stay where you are, and get her to repeat the squeeze and release, and put a bit more pressure to go deeper. Once you have made it past the sphincter, it will naturally accommodate whatever is in there. Once in, repeat the process a few times, squeezing and relaxing with you inside, but don't put any pressure to go deeper. Get her to stay as relaxed as possible and slowly, slowly take you finger out. Get her to stay as relaxed as possible and try to insert a bigger finger (say middle finger) in with her staying relaxed. If she tenses up, repeat the squeeze and relax process again. Go on to two fingers, and when you're in and she relaxes, separate your fingers with the relaxation.
The thing you have to remember is this... in order to relax, you need to know what is a state of tension. Most people will know that when you're in the dentist chair, you progressively get more and more tense... and only when you tell yourself to relax, do you actually realise that you've become tense. All muscles follow this path, and none more so than the anal sphincter. If she's worried or scared, the anal sphincter will let you know by tightening up, and she may have no idea that she's doing it. So the above method over-tenses it, and then over-relaxes it, allowing you to know how to relax it.
Once she's comfortable with a few fingers, you should be able to move on to a penis quite quickly, because she will know how to relax. But do go slowly when you try the whole thing. In fact, let her decide the pace and depth. let her choose the most comfortable position and let her know that she's in charge. that knowledge and control will help her through the experience, and she will enjoy it a lot more because of it.
