Question

Kevin here. In American movies about Australia(Paul Hogan movies) and American t.v. shows about Australia many people say those words" put another shrimp on the barbie". Is this really true, because on the internet I have read that Australians don't eat shrimp? They eat prawns which are quite different from shrimp. Shrimp and Prawns are both crustaceans, but they are different species and shrimp live only in salt water(oceans) wheras prawns live in fresh water.

They're basically the same, shrimp as smaller and less tastier, I like them but don't eat them much, too much fucking around peeling them, if someone peels them I'll have a few now and then

Apparently a high profile Australian has been convicted of a major crime, but there is a court suppression order in place. One law for the rich...anyone heard anything?

Pretty sure they are the same species, Prawns are saltwater fishies many are caught by trawlers off the queensland coast.
