Found a guy on CL with a brand new, still in box, factory sealed
EVGA GeForce 7200 GS 512MB video graphics card for $20. It's not top of the line compared to what's out there today but it's still better than the 64MB and 128MB Radeon I had on my old Pentium 4. |

wildtig2013,
Used to be a gamer back in the day and still do a little now and then. Can be great fun. But, if you really start to get into it, it can get a bit expensive as you wind up having to buy new machines every couple of years in order to keep up. So just be aware of that. Quote:
If you've never done stuff like this before then have a good time. I've built a lot of machines and still have a lot of fun doing it. And if you really get into the gaming thing you'll have to learn how to swap out stuff and diagnose problems. Paying someone gets really expensive. |

I grew up with the earliest video games. I still remember playing Castle Wolfenstein on my Apple II when I was six years old.
As a teenager I played many classic games for PC, such as Sim City, Railroad Tycoon, Civilization, Aces of the Deep, Leisure Suit Larry, Police Quest, Maniac Mansion, the Secret of Monkey Island, Tie Fighter, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The Lucasfilm games were the most fun. I think Secret of Monkey Island remains my favorite game to this day. Nowadays I play strategy games mostly. Matrix Games makes some great war/strategy games, if you're into military history. |
