I've already posted the misadventures of Tommy Robinson and the St George's Day fracas on this thread a couple of days ago. My only omission was not mentioning Laurence Fox turning up...

Your pictures appears to be the base of Nelson's column in Trafalgar Square. I don't recall it being cordoned off last year when pro-Palestinian protesters pulled a similar stunt...

From the other pictures of that day's events, it appears other monuments were covered by the police - case in point...

Indeed, according to a YouTuber called Shady Shae, some were upset at how the Police monitored the event...

As Haroldeye stated, regardless their political stance, if they break the law, they get arrested and charged - end of.
