United Airlines
Well, it would appear that United are really trying to improve their customer service policy, to have security staff drag a paying customer out of his seat just so one of their own employees could have it is really impressive, I hope to god he sues them for millions of dollars. For the chief executive to say the company has done nothing wrong shows just how naive he is.

There's a HUGE settlement coming after this. Law-enforcement officers assaulting a man who hasn't broken any laws. In an era when everyone has an HD camera in their phone and several social media accounts.
'Come fly the friendly skies'* * Unless we want your seat for one of our staff. Then fuck off. |

This incident reminds me of a line from a faux commercial on Saturday Night Live about a fake airline called "Transcontinental Airways." It showed various cast members as employees and what they do to make your journey as hellish as possible, and being proud of it. The tagline was "Transcontinental Airways. You'll feel like you never left the ground. Because we treat you like dirt."

I've seen the video, but never seen a grown man squealing like that before... I'd have broken his jaw just to try & shut him up....
Seriously though, if this doesn't result in some serious repercussions for UA then I'll be shocked...

That's correct. On another forum I frequent, a police officer on it said that you can legally be removed from anywhere, even a public place, if the person/persons in charge want you gone. It's in the fine print of your tickets...that nobody every reads. They have the right to remove you from the plane and all they legally owe you is a refund for the ticket. So legally, United was in the right. From a PR standpoint, it's a fubar.

He sounds like a real charmer
Dr Dao has previously worked at Hardin Memorial Hospital and owned a medical practice. It was also revealed he had previously been given a suspended jail sentence for illegally obtaining and trafficking controlled substances by fraud and deceit. He was also found to have in engaged in sex with a male patient and then supplied him with drugs, including Oxycontin, in exchange for sexual favors. His license was suspended in 2003, and it was then partially re-instated in 2015. Dr Dao is also a keen poker player, and has competed in World Series of Poker events in the past - winning a total of $234,66 |
