I don't believe these have been mentioned:

Elton John - Candle in the Wind

Chris Cornell - Sunshower

Nick Drake - Pink Moon

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here

Okay I understand that logic. The song hits me in the heart my ex says I don't have. I am even having it played at my burial, by a bagpiper no less. I actually like the pipes and drums.

Okay number 1 like all conservatives like Dick Cheney you have no heart!

Number 2 the 'pipes' reference in Danny Boy is a bit confusing because while the Irish also do the bagpipe thing it is never used in context of war, (as do the Scots), but rather as a folk instrument and the common belief is that the Danny Boy is sung from a father/mother bidding her son farewell as he goes to war. You would have to ask if it is commonly utilized at funerals... I'd suggest waiting until after noon.. you know the whole drunken hangover thing.

In the mean time... here is a link to a Tim Curry song you might find fun.

The best pipe tune for a funeral is 'Flowers of the Forest'.

A lament for all those Scots who fell at Flodden field.

Wasn't talking about the pipes in the song, don't care if it is not common. It's my funeral and I want it. Nah nah nah
