Russell Wilson just had a couple of great series . The score is Seattle 17 Green Bay 14 with 3 minutes left in the half.

I was counseled by an "expert" to bet the under at 49 points. Gee thanks. Maybe Aaron Rodgers can outscore them and I will just be out the vigorish.

Since I wrote the first sentence Rodgers moved Green Bay down the field in five plays and it is Green Bay 21 Seattle 17 with 0:44 left.

No.

Do I think he's a HoFer? Way too soon to tell. People will throw out that he took the Seahawks to consecutive SB's to which I'd say, "Yes, and how did that second one end for them? Oh yeah the SINGLE WORST PLAYCALL IN THE HISTORY OF EVERYTHING AND THAT INCLUDES HITLER DECIDING TO INVADE RUSSIA."

Wilson is basically the entire offense in Seattle, they gave no running game except for him and their defense is garbage, but then the Legion of Boom is the most overhyped defense since the Bears 46 in the mid 1980's.

@Brian249x:

one of the noon games today is Dallas (4-5) at Atlanta (4-5).

If you don't bet on the Cowboys, you will sure have a winning bet.

The Falcons are on my do not bet list. So are the Cowboys right now.

Giants now 3-7 as they go in search of the NFC East Title.

Skins banged up even more as Smith breaks a leg and our season is now all but over unless we find a half decent QB and get some people fit, even the Cowboys won.

I still think when they decided not to have it in Mexico City as originally planned, they should had moved it to a neutral location instead of back to Los Angeles and giving the Rams the home field advantage.

Both teams already needed to travel to Mexico and with the stadium change, just have them go a location between Kansas City and Los Angeles that has a large stadium or another NFL team.

Looking at the map the most obvious choice would had been Denver and then Phoenix where the Arizona Cardinals are located at:

So what was the story here? Did the NFL not know that the field would be in such bad shape? It seems like they woulda known ahead of time.

Except that it is officially on the schedule as a home game for the Rams. Really, it was unfair to the Rams to make them play it in Mexico in the first place.

Oops! Betting on the NFL is not that easy. I bet the Packers & under, Redskins, Giants, Chargers, and Bears. The Ravens were off the board. The Packers bets were against my better judgment based on advice from an "expert." Alex Smith's bad luck was costly. The Chargers are another team I usually avoid.

Here are my thoughts.

Amari Cooper may have given the Cowboys just enough to win their weak division given the Redskins buzzard injury luck. Watch out for the Giants. They may have found themselves and could be trouble down the stretch, but it is likely too late to save their season.

Andrew Luck has recovered from injuries and seems to have learned valuable lessons. Indy has improved. Houston is in the drivers seat, but Mariota's iffy elbow make the Colts a threat to the other contenders and in the playoffs.

New Orleans is the team to beat, but there is a long way to go.

A really lackluster Packer team could be carried by Aaron Rodgers to 5 wins in six tries and into the playoffs. Next Sunday vs the Vikings looms very large for both teams.

Cam Newton is playing hurt. He has been brilliant over the past five weeks, but Carolina can't afford to lose more winnable games. This is another team that can ruin your betting week.

I really wished I had listened to my hunches about Indy, the Saints, and Chargers, but glad to have laid off the Cardinals, Steelers, and Panthers. A lot of these freakin' teams are really hard to peg.

I like what Kyle Shanahan told his players before giving them time off in the bye week. "It is time for you to decide if you want to be NFL players."

Finally, Draymond Green, Shut the f--- up!
