They have been systematically trained to think such by media and politicians - backed up by nonsensical 'hate speech' laws which mean if they publicly speak or post anything even construed to be anti-Islam or anti-immigration, they will be carted off to the nick.
Such a thing conditions a person. I think they speak thusly out of fear.

Why are you so determined in your hatred of an entire religion, based, in all likelihood, on the actions of a few Arabic looking ones.
What you see is the challenging of hatred for people who you absolutely nothing about, stemming from a dangerous indoctrination. The currently trendy Palestine support is bugger all to do with Islam: it's just arseholes taking the chance to do stupid stuff and get away with it; and some anti-Semitic morons getting their kicks alongside them.

Since you have asked, I have a very strong aversion to anything I find to be self-evidently unfair. This includes the blanket categorisation of people by religion or race. Note please also that it isn't particularly "Islam" I speak up for here, but rather the many, many Muslims I have interacted with in the course of my life who were not and are not terrorists, criminals or nonces. If you have been reading my posts on the Middle East thread since October 7th last, you will know that I do not support Islamist terrorists and I feel no pity whatsoever for communities of people who support terrorism. But not all people in Gaza are Muslims, and not all Muslims come from Gaza.

I take people as I find them. QED.
