Firm favourite despite the trials and tribulations over recent iterations is PES2012 for the PC.
Plenty of sites that create a host of mods and patches that make it a far better game than out of the box. F1 2011 is also rather enjoyable from Codemasters and esp.compared to the bug ridden 2010. Again plenty of sites that make the game even more enjoyable though the sim aspect is a bit lacking when one can drive a midfield car to a podium spot.... Sports sims for me only though I have stopped playing the NHL series. Love Steel Panthers World At War as well which is an exact simulation of WW2 tank engagements down to the ballistics. And of course without the sheer horror but nonetheless mentally stimulating. This is now freeware from Matrix Games and again with its own mod sites recreating historical situations. |

Im liking it.
Level scaling is in so dont take too many non combat feats or you'll start gimping yourself. that said its better balanced this time out, and there are also NPCs you can recruit to give yourself some help. Landscape is large..huge in fact. I cant finish any quests because i keep getting destracted by something while im traveling. So far they seem less generic than Oblivion too. Plenty to do, plenty to see, and more quests than you can shake a pointed stick at. Crafting is enlarged greatly. Not just enchanting and alchemy but the ability to make and alter weapons, armor, jewlery. You no longer need to fix your shit constantly - bonus. Leveling is different. No more stats. you pick weather to increase magika, health, stamina every level nd get a perk that bives a bonus to whatever skill you choose. How you level is tied directly to whatever skills you increase every level. Not sure if that makes sence, but its pretty intuitive. Renders look like DragonsAge or something. Not bad but a little on the cartoony side for weapons and armor. Hard to make a hot looking chick just like oblivion too. Last edited by dethtongue; November 15th, 2011 at 09:21 PM.. |

Blood Stone 007
I'm a bit of a sucker for any Bond related game and this one isn't great, isn't horrible. Luckily my local library has a pretty extensive selection of video games (about 800 titles for the 3 main systems) so I didn't have to pay for this one. 6.5/10

One, two, three, four, five ...
Yup, I guess this one self does. As for games, still playing World of Warcraft. Nearly seven years now, and no game has come even close to pulling me away for more than a week or two. Sometimes I get the urge for a flight sim or two, but I just don't have the patience to learn one anymore ...

I've been talking to a friend last week about how we used to play Resident Evil when we were kids and should do it again. He found the first part of the series for 15 Euros in some obscure second hand shop, so we were playing it last saturday with a couple of beers. However, we didn't manage to beat because we had, well, more than a couple of beers and fell into a coma.

100% completion in RAGE.
2nd play through, now that I am more experienced. That was an education. What a rush. Now back to Fallout New Vegas for the Hardcore mode achievement. After all, what are we all going to do waiting for GTA:V? Skyrim? MW3? |
