I can´t say I care about the music in porn at all but a few movies include some kick ass music.

I shall mention "Inside Napoli" as an example. The music is funky, even hard rock in "Inside Napoli 2". What other movies have simiral music (late 80ies, early 90ies)? Who are the musicians behind?

Actually, this thread is WORTHY.

I have a special affinity for the film Taboo IV...not because I have an incest fetish, but because there were a couple of scenes that made me rock hard, and because of the music.

The music hit something in me back then, and the music (and the association with the film) still turns me on. Though being 46 I'd say "rock hard" is relative.

I´m also trying to say, these guys knew how to write the appropriate music. Believe it or not, the music is stimulating you as well. I´ve heard some really "horny music" but also some romantic tunes that made me go depressed.

I´m sure, many of these musicians behind the scenes are famous but not credited due to the public prestige.

ALL of the music in Candy Stripers is epic, some of the coolest funk ever used in porn.

Platinum Paradise and Neon Nights both had exceptional title tracks that not only added to the already high production values but were also great songs on their own merit as well.

The music in some of the Russian films is not especially good (plinky-plonky electronic - a bit like Popcorn by Hot Butter) but I do like the was it speeds up towards the end of a scene: usually the music is not scored to fit the film, and this is very effective.

The music in early French and German films can be really good - I've heard Bach a few times.

One time there was an electronic version of the first part of Beethoven's fifth Symphony, which was weird.

I really like the intro music of the 17 films - the sch00lg1l's H0l1day ones anyway (or is it Spec1al? - the one with the twangy bass). But that's probably more of a trigger than anything.

A letter in Viz said something about a porn film that had the same theme as Grange Hill - can anyone confirm this (Viz said that had more letters on this subject - the film anyway - than any other)?

Blue Ecstacy in New York (Leslie Bovee, Samantha Fox, Jamie Gillis) comes to mind as well. In this above average effort, Jamie Gillis's character trys to find a way to appeal to Veronica (Leslie Bovee). When he hears that she loves the opera, he buys a pair of tickets for the two of them. Sure enough, during one of the romantic scenes, a beautiful Puccini aria (from Tosca) can be heard.

As for the music in Andrew Blake films, I'm not sure. It tends to be just some kind of new age mood music, and the mood is not really one of SEX, I don't think.

The music is actually pretty good, as I remember, but the music didn't make me think about sex. Not as I recall. I haven't seen any Blake film other than "Night Trips" in many, many years.

Enough for this conversation, folks. I'm off to review a few Blake films to concentrate on the music.

I only recently realized how much my musical taste has been influenced by the late 70's/early 80's porn I watched when I was young. And oddly enough, when I watch porn from that era now, I hear "real music" in there, and by that I mean stuff that has been released on albums by famous musicians. The only track I can think of off the top of my head is "Mr. Magic" by Grover Washington Jr. but I know there have been many others. (maybe Grover lost a poker game to Henri Pachard or something)

this realization began a couple years back, when I heard a commercial on the radio with Billy Dee Williams advertising cable or cellular phone service with some cool jazz funk in the background that I recognized but just couldn't put my finger on. I searched my whole record collection to no avail. then one day I realized that it was the same music from the first porno scene I ever saw, Kimberly Carson's first scene in "Ladies In Lace"! (I know, I know, Traci, but I was younger than her when I first saw it, and honestly she was my least favorite girl in the whole thing, except maybe for Bunny Bleu, so let's just call it "Party Girls"). I relistened to the movie, strange as that sounds, and found that I loved all the music in the movie, save for the female vocals on the title track.

now obviously that track from the Kim Carson scene has been released in the mainstream, and I have to believe that the rest of it was too. I even think that they took a track and stuck those female vocals on top of it. one of my current ambitions is to find all these tracks on vinyl. Shazam hasn't helped, due to all the moaning and them being obscure jazz tracks anyway. in the meantime I am working on recording my own versions of all of them. I have a collection of 70's keyboards and synths to aid in this, probably because of this movie!
