Her answers are fairly critical of the movement, but she does say that her porno career was a traumatic chapter in her life. Apparently she grew up in a Jewish family, her father a concentration camp survivor, and she did some modeling as a child. At age 13 she ran away from home (it was 1970), and moved in with a man who initiated her into porn and sexual experimentation - including "becoming the slave of a 45-year-old man" (a friend of his?). The chronology is a bit fuzzy but she seems to have done a lot of bad stuff while underage sexually. She characterizes her boyfriend as an "antisocial personality", meaning that he was totally selfish and incapable of empathy - and she says that he had been sexually molested as a schoolboy by Catholic priests. But she doesn't seem to resent him, and she says that she owes it to him to have gone to college and taken her first steps in the worlds of music and theater. She's definitely not a "by the book" person. But I wonder if some of her rejection of the porn years is due to aging and being less sexy now. In her younger years she did whatever she wanted and was very extreme. There is a strange clip of her on YouTube too, on a TV show with Serge Gainsbourg from 1986, in which Gainsbourg calls her a whore and says she owes her fame to disgusting sex acts - her response is initially to agree with Gainsbourg that what she did (in porn) was disgusting, but then she increasingly starts to defend herself and in particular calls Gainsbourg himself disgusting: Dead link removed |
