Triple Martini - 14.
Sade, "Diamond Life", 1984. Phil Manzanera, "Diamond Head", 1975. Tricky, "Vulnerable", 2003. F*ck I love this thread so much ! Just a spicy cocktail to thank u all... Sade singing "Why can't we live together ?' live at the Montreux Jazz Festival 1984 : something so fresh, classy, naive and so powerful at same time... And a good question. "Frontera" by Phil Manzanera exiled from Roxy Music, with Robert Wyatt on spanish vocals... Weird how our politics are actually obsessed by frontiers... Personally I'm much more obsessed by the hairy healthy (but legal) niece of my close neighbours... Tricky live at the Belfort Eurockéennes Festival (France) 2003 : certainly one of the best live performances I recently stumbbled out. I can't stop listen that stuff in loop for days... Please, do it very loud with headphones ! That's pure trance ! So basic (only a few notes) & so wow... With Wayne Ruth, monstruous bassist looking like Shaqille O'Neal's far cousin and same as good + Pery Melius on drums as a robot + Garett Bowend on keyboard strange noises + rare apocalyptic riffs by Miss Kelly Appleton on guitar. And don't forget Italian hippie singer Costanza Francavilla just dancing alone in a corner : at that time I was in love with her... Oh Jesus ! "Where I'm from" is also a good question, btw. Sade -Why We Can't Live Together ? Phil Manzanera -Frontera Tricky -Where I'm From

Giovanni Maria Bononcini is another obscure Italian composer who lived mostly in Modena. There is almost no information about him. He composed mostly church music and some instrumental music. This music took the form of what is called an Allemande, a gigue, or a Sarabande. These are very short pieces between 1 and 4 minutes long. They sound like short dance pieces. Bononcini had two sons who went on to become composers too and they produced a far greater amount of more typical musical compositions. https://youtu.be/nVoqXSIrbqo https://youtu.be/-R-NxV21Lq0 https://youtu.be/-1pOlY1vjoM https://youtu.be/8-VvQAjEKVg https://youtu.be/tp5hlXsRB_4 https://youtu.be/ELOGqXT4oxI |
