I, 110%, agree with your words.
After watching a TV documentary made on Steve Jobs... Clearly, the genius was (and surely still is) Wozniak (as Bill Gates was in his area).

Steve Jobs was a good seller and an excellent opinionmaker.
In 2007, when he came on the scene saying that Apple smartphone was "a revolution".
In fact it was not. They only put on their phone a multi-touch screen, that was created in 1965 by a British engineer called E.A Johnson and used by IBM and Bell Though since 1992 on their smartphone in unique touch only, due to the still too "challenging" technology.

The great force of Apple is that's a sect with a lot of lobotomised fanatics.
If Apple creates an average product, the majority of the members of this sect will say: "It's a marvelous product."

I've seen that so many time, it's incredible.

Edit: Since 19 years I professionnaly use Apple computer. If you buy a Sony or a Dell at the same price, you will get an excellent product too.
HP had a very bad time with several of its computers.

Trouble is you can point to the short comings of Windows with ease

The Windows 7 updates that were fixed /broken/fixed/broken/fixed/broken
for about 3-4 months a spectacular example of how bad it can get
- thank you for 3rd party security suites taking up the slack.

Windows updates never fail to nobble something going by this site

Honestly speaking I had to change my old computer with XP inside (which was incredibly stable) for another one with Windows 8 inside, that I upgraded in 8.1
I was not a fan of Windows 8 "tablet" concept and I'm still not.
But I only use it on the same XP style desk.
I didn't upgrade in Windows 10, because my Windows 8.1 is very stable and I don't get any problem at all.

Edit: By the way I didn't vote to the Estreeter's poll, because Apple and Windows are good enough for my personnal uses.
I only believe that Apple products are too expensive compared for what 99% of their customers need. They could create less expensive products too.

At the time of posting this the vote is
18 Apple
21 MS

A lot closer than I expected, which I thought might be 75% in MS favour.

Anyway, just pointing out one thing,
It's been said if me here I'm brand brainwashed, fact is if you look back I have said I prefer MS Office over the Apple equivalent I don't use Safari as I prefer Google Chrome.

I have wondered how good an OS Windows would be if they did in fact make their own desktops and lap tops.

Apple has its own issues, but the thing I like most is that my iMac I'm typing on right now has had zero issues since I bought it in 2013. If I had a microsoft machine I would have had a million viruses and been through 2-3 computers right about now.

I use my current Windows-run machine since 2015 and never had any issues with viruses nor did I have to get myself a new one. My previous PC ran on Windows Vista for almost 8 years and crashed only once because I was abusing it for too long.
