Here is a new handful of vidcaps from A Man Called Dagger – some of scenes posted before, some new – but all done fresh (not reposts).
The search for a better print of this movie continues, I’ve been maddeningly frustrated in this quest because (although I never got to see this film in a theater when it was released) I do recall seeing it on late-night TV decades ago and I’m certain that the resolution quality was far crisper than the VHS rip that circulates on the web. In these shots the focus is so fuzzed in these third-generation (or worse) transfers that you can’t even clearly make out her face. But what we can see in the first five shots is the lovely shape of her glorious, world-class ass! So, in hopes that someday, some production company will make a DVD version from an original film print (why not? They release DVDs of some of the crappiest B movies ever made, why not Dagger?), there caps will have to suffice… Cheers… |

Here’s another image from the “bareback-with-boa” session by photographer Harry Langdon (something of a “signature” set of poses for him, as we’ve seen elsewhere on this forum). It comes from the same session with a short, curly hairstyle (or wig), one shot of which was posted earlier:
This one, however, is rather tastier, since it shows a gratifying bit of side-boob. It’s an auction find, hence the watermark, which luckily isn’t too intrusive. The auction site states “the negative was inverted for this posting” so I offer a flipped version as well – you can choose from left boob (as on the auction site) or right boob, as you prefer. A second shot, from the same set of negatives (but clothed, this time), highlights her outstanding legs (she did start her career as a dancer, after all…) |

A few images from the online Getty Archives, with extraneous details removes (like watermarks, other people )
On those last images, sweet how she opens her coat to make sure the photographers get a glimpse of the size of her fine jugs. And speaking of jugs, how about this delightfully over-the-top bosom build-up for her part in a stage play: and a few more to round out the series: |

Here she is fresh-faced (and busty!) at age 21 in a publicity shot for the 1957 musical Copper and Brass. The auction site this comes from lists it as “very rare” and that may be because Sue Ane never did end up in the final cast when the show hit the stage. As author Tom Lisanti explains it in his chapter on Langdon in his book Drive-In Dream Girls: A Galaxy of B-Movies Starlets of the Sixties:
“… the determined newcomer landed a role in a destined-for-Broadway show called Copper and Brass starring Nancy Walker. However, Langdon was let go from the show because “Walker did not like pretty ladies.” The musical never reached Broadway (“Hah! Hah! Nancy Walker,” jokes Sue Ane.)” |
