Strange thing. This morning whilst navigating my way to opening my curtains I nearly tripped over a carrier bag. Upon inspection of said bag I noticed it had a book in it, which was Bond on Bond by Sir Roger Moore - hmm, said I, I must get round to reading that ...sadly that appeared to be a bad omen judging by his untimely death today. I also had been watching two episodes of The Persuaders at the weekend where he starred alongside Tony Curtis. They made a great double act. Sir Roger had a wicked sense of humour and did a decent impression of Sean Connery but could also send himself up as in The Cannonball Run as Seymour playing James Bond OR playing a spy reading the Beano comic whilst trying seduce the late Victoria Wood on the London Eye for one of her specials. The first Bond to die but live in our hearts forever, and for some of us he was our FIRST Bond in the 70's. RIP Sir Rog, you've earned it.

Default Spooky co-incident!

You know when you're lying in bed & thoughts or memories randomly pop into your head for no good reason at all? Well today the memory that floated into my mind was from the film Moonraker where Roger Moore got thrown from a plane without a parachute but somehow manages to survive anyway. - Then the next next thing I hear is Roger has passed on! Wooooooo! Thanks for all the great entertainment Roger! RIP. Nobody did it better!

and then there's this tribute from Alan Partridge: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lrp0wJsXNEA

Woke up this morning to see where the police had gotten in finding out who bombed the Manchester Arena last night; only to hear about Sir Roger's death too....

Bad day all round for entertainment; & the fight against these slags of society of course!

Cancer my foot. I bet SPECTRE was involved. No way anything less could have gotten him. RIP Mr. Moore and thank you for all the great movie and TV memories. And even though it may not have been one of his more memorable films I still enjoy ffolks when ever they show it on late night TV. Two small f's. Rufus Excalibur.

He had a lot of enemies:

James Bond: I mean sir, who would pay a million dollars to have me killed?
M: Jealous husbands! Outraged chefs! Humiliated tailors! The list is endless!

Huge fan of this man - both as actor and individual.

Let's hope his eyebrows can be saved and given the BAFTA they so richly deserve. Only kidding Sir Roger.

R.I.P.
