The only way this could even possibly be real is if Lynda Cater was ever connected to Apocalypse Now.
Consider this: "Apocalypse Now - The Complete Dossier" contains lost scenes, outtakes and never before seen footage from the cutting room floor. None of them are of Lynda Carter. There is no mention of her involvement anywhere in 'The Complete Dossier.' Why? There is not one single interview with Lynda Carter in which she mentions Apocalypse Now. Why? None of the books, official or unofficial, about the making of Apocalypse Now, all of which go into minute detail about the film's production, mention Lynda Carter being involved. Why not? But: Why the real picture with the real face never appeared? I think that the body in the photo is much similar to Lyndaīs than to those of Carpenter (page 4 of this thread) or Colleen. As I said the profile of the breasts looks like those in the "Bobbie Jo"īs film, and definitely that tiny waist, and those "unique" hips belongs to Lynda. |

It is possible that she was involved with the film but at the moment there seems to be very little reliable evidence that that is the case. The only source seems to be that Playboy interview with Colleen Camp from 1979. You'd think that if it were true there would be some other mention of it, in making of documentaries, books about the film, interviews with the director or with Lynda herself. But there isn't. Again, I ask why not? |

The entire argument is "to see" the picture. Thatīs all. Why Lynda must to be "involved" in a film for just a photo, and everybody have to talk about that??
Also, all this come for compare this photo with one of Colleen (just because someone said that is a fake of that photo), when the photo is not the same. Itīs similar but is not the same. |

Because the photo was supposedly shot for Apocalypse Now as part of her appearing in the film. If she was never signed to be in the movie then there never would have been a reason to take the picture.

No. You just pay for the photo and thatīs all, as a test, maybe a lots of women were shot. If she donīt appeared in the film, itīs impossible to say than she was "involved", maybe as many of other "models".

"Just pay for the photo"??? Its not that simple. If it was part of some photoshoot she had done for something else, maybe, if they were lucky. But if that were the case other photos from the shoot would have shown up and we wouldn't be having this discussion. They haven't and likewise "test faux centerfolds" of other actresses trying out for the role have not shown up. And that ignores the fact that in this case this faux centerfold shoot would have been specifically commissioned for this movie (Colleen Camp's was, after all), which is not an inexpensive proposition and it would have taken a day or more to shoot. It is not something that is just "tossed off" on a whim. The production would not have paid for such a shoot until she had been cast for the role and signed the contracts.

The photographer, Stephen Chan, has written about the substitution (Collen for Lynda) and confirmed the authenticity of both centerfolds.
But the most important questions are: where is the supposed real and original photo???? What "head" have the supposed real and original photo? Never appeared because this is the real and original photo. |

And if this is part of a real shoot, where are the rest of the photos? Professionals don't just take one picture, they spend hours taking photo after photo and then select the best from the lot with the client but the outtakes seem to always find their way to the public. (Note the "recent" release of outtakes of Jennifer Aniston from a Harper's Bazaar shoot three years ago.)

The pairs of tits do seem rather similar, as far as size of tits and size of areolae are concerned, and the ring on the hand which rests on the hips seem to be similar. Why go to the trouble of matching those details if the jacket and jeans are going to be different?
Both bodies could be of different women who happened to have similar bodies but it could be that neither is Lynda Carter. It was possible in those days to manipulate photos. Remember what Stalin did to photos of various members of the politburo in the 30's? I've just been on Lynda Carter's 'official' website and emailed Michael Pick asking if she had any connection with the film. Don't worry, I didn't mention tits or anything.lol!
