Now this is something of a mystery, and an annoying one!

This movie is available, actually in two postings on this board but as is noted by one of the posters, the blonde doesn't appear in the flick, only on the cover. That blonde is doubtlessly Laura Miles which to my knowledge is only to be seen in Hotel Bon Plaisir (did I spell that right?) Laura's appearances in Hote BP has always been amongst my favorites and I would love to see her in some other scenes... So here she is in footage which apparently is from "Un Bon Client" - but not really.
So what happened? Why is she not in the actual movie? Were there two versions made? Are there other flicks with her that I don't know off?
Jobart, do you know the answer? Where does your picture set come from? Anyone else able to bring clarity?

Hi Jalapeno, as I've mentioned elsewhere (but don't remember where - probably another of jobart's Dorcel postings) the pictures in the CC video index for all the Dorcel movies came from the photosets that were made at the same time, of the same stories, but separately from the movies. Sometimes different actors/actresses were used. It looks like the same photoset pictures used in the index were used for the video box covers. I was quite perplexed for a while when I got some of the DVDs and they didn't match the pictures from the index. I thought maybe the films had been cut or something and it wasn't until I found out about the photosets that I realised what had happened.

There aren't two versions of Un Bon Client. However, if you ever stumble across any of the old CC videos (Blue Climax Video - e.g. Un Bon Client is Lustful Business (BC 455)), some of those are cut compared to the DVD versions.

So the only place to see this blonde in this story is this photoset.

I'm still a little confused though, and perhaps the info is already on this site but I haven't found it, but what's the deal here?
Did VMD or some third party make longer "raw" movies that were then resold to KK for re-editing or vice versa? Why are the images imprinted with VMD? Because they originated the material or they bought the rights first?

It makes you wonder how much cool unreleased material sits in archives without ever seeing the light of day. I for one wouldn't say no to a free tour of those archives...

Firstly, the blonde *could* be Laura Miles (aka Laura May), but she looks a lot like Marianne Aubert, too. Regardless, Laura is in several films besides Hotel BP, so you can find more of her. Check out her list of films at Egafd:

I think you're probably right that the blonde in the stills is Laura, but it's a tough call.

Secondly, the description for Un Bon client at Egafd includes this note, which might help answer your questions:

Note - a blonde, probably Marianne Aubert, appears in the stills on the boxcover, but does not appear in the video. Perhaps she was initially cast in the Cathy Stewart role as she [i.e. Cathy] does not appear in the box cover stills.

Nor does Cathy appear in the set of stills in jobart's post, which adds further credence to this theory.
