As much as I'm a country boy at heart and really do understand leaving the city

I always hated this, even before I'd ever seen a big city or knew what big city life was ........

Ah yes.. Canned Heat. Appeared at Woodstock.

Actually, they're not too bad when the guitarist doesn't sing: Let's Work Together

Alice ... Alice !!!!! WTF is Alice ???
Is she that girl you have in Chains

Like you I like most Classic Rock, however some individual tracks are just played so often that they become almost expected and I switch off when I hear them, many are songs I used to like. Over familiarity breeds discontent.

With the exception of Bad Company's "Shooting Star," there is very little Classic Rock I dislike. As far as overplay goes, I solved that by not listening to the radio. I do enjoy the music, but I just don't like to listen to commercials. So, I my car I listen to CDs and at home either my mp3 player, the music stations on the TV or off the computer.

There are also Classic Rock songs that I can listen to over and over. "Won't Get Fooled Again," "(Don't Fear) The Reaper," "Deacon Blues" and "Badlands" are just a few examples. I have to admit that I like most of the songs that others admit to disliking.

Sorry to everyone for considering RATM and glam metal "classic rock".

I suppose that Simon and Garfunkel are considered "classic rock"; for some reason my father likes them, but I can't stand them.

Steely Dan's album Aja is one of my top 10 albums with Deacon Blues , Peg , lately the radio stations in my area have all become I-Heart stations and they have censored songs and cut the ends off, FU I-Heart

Go watch the movie The Graduate and that will put Simon & Garfunkel in context

It's all a matter of age..

For me, classic rock will always be Elvis, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, etc..

In my town, the 'classic' rock station now includes things like Bon Jovi and other 80s hair stuff.

Simon & Garfunkel - certainly could be used as something to break up a party at 3:00 am.. when you're wanting people to leave...
