Thanks! My English is not as good as Brecht's or Beutelwolf's and they give me complexes. I understand everything they say, but could not express myself so well

I've got a little French anecdote.

Joseph Fouché was two times the Minister of the police during the reign of Napoléon Ier.

He betrayed Napoléon twice.
After the defeat of Waterloo, he became the President of the provisional government, alerted the British about the risk of Napoleon's flight.

Today he's one of the rare French politicians, who hasn't any street or place called with his name in France.

When people are not popular in a region, a country, they don't get any posterity.

You're just too modest, Comrade palo5. Look, I'll be realistic: your English is not better than mine but it's as good as mine.

Consider the age gap and the circumstances under which we came to learn this language. I had an advantage over you because in Austrian schools English is taught from an early age. And not to mention the fact that I grew up watching American movies, listening to American/British music, reading books in English etc. We are bombarded with ads in English...

You are a man of education and hard work while I just grew up in the Western world where English is a major factor and has been a lingua franca for a long time.
