Default Getting Sick of it????

Am I not the only one who is REALLY geting sick to the back teeth of Football
I've seen over 1700 Spurs games in 52 years!!! (yes they're on a database)!!
You may think that doesn't sound a lot over that space of time.
But it averages 32 games EVERY season!!
I haven't missed a home game (competitive) since 1989. Millwall Boxing Day!

But this is the first season i can really say the I couldn't give a S**T if i never went again!!!
And this is with us 4th in the league and chasing down Champions League again.

I have never had Sky cos i see enough each week and really would start watching ANYTHING!!

But with all the goings on that all the Supporters on just this Forum suffer, It's making me more and more sick.

The game is getting more and more despicable with every week of this season.
I just want it all to implode next week, then i won't be able to go again!!!

But while there is a Spurs i feel it my duty to attend???

Lyon minus 16 days

For the first time in a few years Mitch I felt the same when we were getting spanked by the MK Dons at home the other week.

All the effort of making time to go and watch my beloved Rangers get stuffed by a team we really should be making easy work of it wasn't an easy day, dare say the players that day have forgotten but I won't, growing up and watching the end of season spectacle of two teams deserving in the final, really wanted a Cup run.

The players weren't up for it which led me to thinking on 60 mins whether I should leave now and get an extra 2 or 3 in at the White Horse or stay and suffer some more. I opted for the latter.

Something inside us fans just doesn't want to give up, it wasn't that long ago we made mugs out of Chelsea inside/outside at the Bridge.

Wondering why you feel that way? Especially coming from a fan who has had their fair share of success over the years

Because the clubs are taking the P**S out of their own supporters!!
I live up the road from West Ham and I DO get recognised by loads of their fans at games, 'cos most are my mates!!
But I've spent years watching the 'hatred' their boys have for us.
I've suffered it for 40 of the 50 years I've gone.
But most Spurs fans didn't realise they were so hated by West Ham until the 80's???

When we go there next week the club expect us to pay £49 and give us one measly loyalty point!!! Chelsea the same torrents of abuse for £56 and one loyalty point!!! Al Kaida stadium £62, one loyalty point.

I go to Reading for £45 and get FIVE loyalty points. Some other grounds are cheaper.

But you slog all the way up the M6 to Old Trafford and you still only get .......
one loyalty point!!

ALL the players you buy nowadays haven't got a clue about LOYALTY or.........
loyalty points
They can't always even be bothered to acknowledge you after every game.

Rumour is the Fulham away game in March will be or very near to £60, there will have to be a time soon when enough is enough. I don't expect to keep going and everyone else to do the dirty work, means I will have to muck in too.

Years ago this would have worked but now just about every bugger wants to go to football because it's the 'thing to do'

If i give up my rights of going, someone else will jump in and the club won't care about that, bums on seats pays for Bosingwa's wages

Thing with clubs like yours Mitch if you do decide to opt out, how long will it take to get back in? my mate is Spurs supporter and a few years ago there was a waiting list on season tickets, not sure if that's still the case.

Us the fans are mugged off but we accept it

I no longer go to WHU as I can no longer afford to do so. As a non club member, tickets cost betwen £49 & £67 depending on who we are playing and whats available. A couple of games have had reduced prices, Stoke on a Monday night was one, but I believe that was to get bums on seats rather than any loyalty to the fans.. Add on the train fare, which is never the same, between £30 & £40 add in a program, pie and mash, which takes it over a £100 per home game, as I am now on a pension, I have been priced out of going. I can normally find a live link on line and with the televised games, I believe I have missed just one game this season. Those Hammers fans in my local for the TV games, go on occasion, but simply cannot afford to go every week.

As for the WHU, Tottenham hatred, for me its just two games, which is more local rivalry and even that's forgotten once the game is over, its probably why I have never understood the football violence, Following us away was always a risky business, even more so If our lot had been on the rampage, prior to my friends and I arriving.

Unfortunately I have been in the wrong place at the wrong time on three occasions, Liverpool, Coventry and Forest, luckily for me I came out unscathed on each occasion.

Here most of tickets are near 30 euros.Except Paris;Marseille and Lyon about 45.But it becomes harder for real fans, and i suppose soon stadium will have lost their soul with only VIP on seats...

I followed Eintracht Frankfurt a few times around 2007-2010, flight to Germany was £80 return from LHR, free shuttle bus from Airport to Holiday Inn Frankfurt-North (sometimes would have to pay driver keep quiet as wasn't staying) and match ticket was 20-25EUR, left at 5am was back at 11pm

Great day out, long but brilliant, for me Germany are the leaders in treating football fans fair in terms of value for money, oh and terracing too

Havn't been for a while as following Rangers eats up all my money, will try again for next season as itching to get back out there, flight tickets gone up since then which is a shame.

Apparently clubs such as Man Utd and Arsenal when they play european games get more money from the telly then they get from the gate. So why not reduce the prices on european games to the lowest that they can and get lots more fans in? Im not sure how much clubs get from Sky but couldnt they do the same?

From a 'Business' point of view, why would they?

Road Dogg your right from a "business" point of view they wouldnt. But remember the full members cup that was around when the clubs were banned from Europe? Some clubs actually didnt want to take part but the league told them to. Everton let people in for free, but only had a crowd of about 500.

And there was an interview tonight in my local paper with Peter Ridsdale about PNEs finances. Turned out their 46 million quid in debt, but 30 million of that is owned to the owner Trevor Hemmings.
