Never easy to win at Montpellier.

Montpellier on another planet in the first half as Monaco take advantage. Mont back on planet earth in the second half , with an early goal and game on. Mont dominated second half with Monaco clueless, just like the lino who ruled offside when he had no idea if the Monaco player was or was not. Monaco down to ten for the last few minutes but hang on. Final 1-2 Enjoyable game.

Mean while back in Paris Lille not allowing PSG to play and keeping them at bay, prior to giving away a needless free kick and from resulting kick lucky rebound off defenders out stretched leg ,looped over everyone and off Cavani's shoulder 1-0 (70) That I thought was that, but not quite, PSG keeper tries to play it out from the back, beats one man then scuffs the ball, 1-1.
The Lino in the Monaco game has a duplicate in Paris, Lucas who scored the winner, even looked at the lino after putting the ball in the onion bag and looked amazed when the flag stayed down, the ref was not innocent either because he saw it all as well. It was not like it was a close call, Lucas was offside twice, once when the ball went forward although not interfering, but gaining an advantage by scoring, but was in an offside position when the ball was passed to him. No wonder the Lille players were miffed.

Leicester has to score a goal before they can beat somebody. Is Mahrez even still on this team? Because I watched the Man U game and I think he hardly touched the ball. Morgan and Huth just look exhausted and they're getting picked apart on defense. 1 shot on target against Man U and you had 10 corners!!!

If you just take the current bottom 6, I think Boro, Sunderland, and Hull survive. Leicester, Swansea, and Palace don't make it. Now that is going out on a long shaky limb.

Leicester failed to replace Kante, although the way he plays its near impossible. He was the main engine last season and the reason the players around him looked as good as they did. He runs solid for 90 minutes and has been said by numerous players, to do the work of 2 men. Its no surprise that he always well rated post match for Chelsea and is probably going to be Chelsea's player of the season. He now looks like being only the second player to win back to back titles with two different clubs. Schwarzer did it for Chelsea and then Leicester but he never played a league game for Leicester So technically Kante would be the first to play in two league winning sides.

Between the 2 of them they made 18 changes to the starting line-ups
Kind of says where cup competitions are at when promotion & relegation are possible

Big spending Chinese come unstuck

If Carlos Tevez thought that he'd be on easy street after becoming the world's highest paid player, then he'd better think again.

The former West Ham, Manchester United and Manchester City star endured a debut to forget as his Shanghai Shenhua side lost their Asian Champions League qualifier 2-0 to Brisbane Roar on Wednesday, with Gus Poyet's side tumbling out of the competition as the Aussies made it through.

And after the win, the Roar - who currently sit 16 points off the top of the A-League, perhaps summing up the gap in quality between the two divisions - didn't hold back.

A little surprising they are not interested because of them wanting to stick with Cavani. I think for the last 2-3 years he has been linked with moves away from Paris. He gets a lot of negative reaction but it appears PSG want to stick with him at the helm and bring in a different type of player to back him up.

I don't think Aguero will be short of offers though if he does decide his time at City is at an end. Even with his injury issues he will score for fun when given the chance. At any side where chances are created more often than not he will put them away. At 28 he is also at his peak and could be scoring for at least another 4 years. The only issue at that age is there is little to no sell on fee which sometimes means the big clubs don't want to spend silly money.

We love Harry Kane. He scores a lot but he also misses a lot. Spurs create probably more chances than any other team, and although we convert a decent proportion of them, we can do better with a better dedicated striker.

So, I'm going to predict that Harry's going to take a nice big-money deal with a bigger club in the summer - possibly Real Madrid to replace Benzema if they're allowed to sign players by then, or Man U to replace Zlatan, or Liverpool to replace/cover Sturridge.

Spurs have a strong Argentine connection of course through Poch, Lamela, etc., as well as our historical ties via Ardiles & Ricky Villa. Aguero would feel right at home at the new WHL.

As I said there will be a flood of clubs wishing to buy Aguero should he become available for transfer. If you give him two chances he will more often than not bag a goal. So a club like Spurs who do create plenty of chances would suit him, especially if they get CL football. However I do not know their transfer and wage structure and he maybe cost wise a little outside both. If they did sell Kane though money would be there as he would not be sold cheaply.

I suspect that Aguero will move to a European side though as he has now experienced this league. I think he would cause havoc in Italy with their slower defensive players but maybe priced out of a move fee and wage wise. I can just imagine him at Juve alongside Higuain, Dybal and Mandzukic. Juve dominate Italian football at the moment but would be virtually guaranteed the title with him there. Sadly for Juve and Italian football its unlikely to happen. These days the Italian league creates and sells the best players rather than sees them plying their trade most of the time.
