Anyone bored of football can just go to the museum instead;

Football is a strange game a lot of the time but its very strange if you are a Watford fan. They are now looking for their fourth manager in the space of 6 weeks. Beppe Sannino, quit in August despite leading the team to four wins from their first five matches of the season. Oscar Garcia took over and lasted 4 games before stepping down for health reasons. Then Billy McKinlay took over and has now reportedly left the club after two games in charge.

Nosebleed time for West Ham. Think how good they'll be when Andy Carroll and Benni McCarthy are fit again.

Graham Taylor isn't too busy at the moment?

Even stranger-was it true that Felix Magath said to an injured player to put cheese soaked in alcohol on it? Good grief Penfold!

All thanks to Stewart Downing being inform and not being the one who takes the shot at goal...what was his Liverpool record 100 shots on goal for about 3...
Guiness book of records contender if only their were a category for inept shooting

7th would look a whole lot more impressive if they'd beaten
someone who was actually in form

Crystal Palace minus Tony Pulis are cannon fodder most games
QPR - relegation certainties going on current form
Liverpool - completely out of sorts compared to last season

This quote from Stewart Downing back in 2006 when almost appearing for England
but Rooney made sure he never got on the pitch - well done Wayne.

Talk about delusions of grandeur

Stewart Downing once had good reason to be angry with Wayne Rooney. He was pitch-side in Gelsenkirchen, warming up and ready to go on little more than an hour into a World Cup quarter-final against Portugal.

‘Had it not been for the Rooney sending-off I think we could have won that game and, if we had, I think we could have gone on to win the tournament. England had a strong team that year.’

Certainly not nose bleed time as thirteen teams are currently fighting for fourth place, one defeat and your one off the bottom three.

Donkey Downing has actually been one of the better players this season, when playing in the middle, rather than on the flanks, long may it continue.

I said in an earlier post once Carroll and Nolan are fit, they will be shoe ins and the newbies can expect a lot of bench warming and hoof ball will return.

Yes, but taken out of context, more of a jokey aside, but pounced on and publicised by one Danny Murphy ~ who at that point was bigging himself up in various media, to be given the manager's job.

Guardian:
http://www.theguardian.com/football/...ootball-fulham

Quote:
Brede Hangeland who was once told by the veteran coach to treat a leg injury by rubbing cheese on to the sore area.........

Murphy, a team-mate of the Norwegian defender for almost five years, revealed an even more bizarre twist to the unorthodox treatment. “I texted Brede to ask if it was true,” he said. “Brede told me it was, and that the cheese had to be soaked in alcohol, and that he was told to phone his mother because it would help to speak to someone who loves him while the cheese is working!”

Magath said of the Hangeland reports: “I merely suggested it could be worth trying the old wives’ tale of applying quark to the injured area. I would never tell a doctor what to do.”

COMPLETE BOLLOCKS! ... me?

Well, coming from the Master of 'finished testicles', and of course the fear of reprisals (? yeah, right) ... I hereby bow down to your obvious greater knowledge of Mr. Gerrard and will now concentrate my posts on other football-related matters.

And here's me (the complete idiot I am) thinking that the God Gerrard was finished. Just shows you what I know???

Apologies for my conduct Mr Greenman.

Gerrard is nowhere near finished, he'll soon become the best Liverpool manager ever. Also when it gets cold this winter I shall be praying to Saint Gerrard to protect me from slipping over.
