Football is a strange game a lot of the time but its very strange if you are a Watford fan. They are now looking for their fourth manager in the space of 6 weeks. Beppe Sannino, quit in August despite leading the team to four wins from their first five matches of the season. Oscar Garcia took over and lasted 4 games before stepping down for health reasons. Then Billy McKinlay took over and has now reportedly left the club after two games in charge.

Stewart Downing once had good reason to be angry with Wayne Rooney. He was pitch-side in Gelsenkirchen, warming up and ready to go on little more than an hour into a World Cup quarter-final against Portugal.

‘Had it not been for the Rooney sending-off I think we could have won that game and, if we had, I think we could have gone on to win the tournament. England had a strong team that year.’

Certainly not nose bleed time as thirteen teams are currently fighting for fourth place, one defeat and your one off the bottom three.

Donkey Downing has actually been one of the better players this season, when playing in the middle, rather than on the flanks, long may it continue.

I said in an earlier post once Carroll and Nolan are fit, they will be shoe ins and the newbies can expect a lot of bench warming and hoof ball will return.

Yes, but taken out of context, more of a jokey aside, but pounced on and publicised by one Danny Murphy ~ who at that point was bigging himself up in various media, to be given the manager's job.

Gerrard is nowhere near finished, he'll soon become the best Liverpool manager ever. Also when it gets cold this winter I shall be praying to Saint Gerrard to protect me from slipping over.
