How many are killed each year by drunk drivers using cars and pick up trucks?

According to the CDC (Center for Disease Control, a US Federal agency part of the Department of Health and Human Services), over 10,000 are killed each year by drunk drivers and that's 2016 statistics.
Obviously, the best thing to do is ban everything, and truck folk to the labor camps, er, I mean their places of employment, from their padded cells, er, I mean suites.

For the children.

Yes, puerile gestures and infantile displays against the the leader of the worlds leading economy during a trade dispute are always good ideas.

Khan is worse than an idiot.
Perhaps Trump should just remove all American military bases from the UK and place sanctions against the UK for imprisoning journalists and denying journalists entry into the UK.
Should he do that, you can blame Khan and his cronies.

I wish the interest rates would go up, as a saver for many years my bank account resources have been worth 1p in interest. I remember the good old days when it was close to 5% but those days are long gone -that said I have opened a different saving account with Tescobank and their best rate is 1.49% for 18 months.

The attic thermometer(cheap one) stuck to window shows a temperature up here of 91.3F, but on an alarm clock of mine near my bed it also tells the temperature and puts it as 90F(32.0c in old money) but if that was the case I'd be melting rapidly and I have both a fan on full blast and a portable air con(with added ice in the reservoir) so they are both totally inaccurate. Last night was awful to sleep in, but I was very tired and slept reasonably well. Anybody else having trouble sleeping?

I remember when interest rates were 15% but inflation stood at 10% and the economy was tailspinning into a deep recession. Not good days at all.

Hello from across the pond. It's very cool in Chicago after we had three days in the upper 90's F, but fortunately the heat is coming back. I don't consider it to be really summer unless high temperatures are at least in the 80's.

Me too. Low interest rates rather buggered up my retirement plan but I muddled through with part time jobs.

And yes. I had managed up till now but last night was absolutely oppressive - and tonight is not looking to be any fresher. Hope it cools down just a bit soon.
