Songs and musics from movies that you like
A place where you can post your favorite songs or musics from movies, and you can even tell us why you like them. You also don't have to discuss why you're fond of these songs too if that's not your thing. Just post your good tunes.
First shot's for me : This was a song written and composed by Dan Hill and Jerry Goldsmith for the 1982 masterpiece First Blood. It perfectly fits the movie. And the lyrics are awesome. It's a long road When you're on your own And it hurts when they tear your dreams apart And every new town Just seems to bring you down Tryin' to find Peace of mind Can break your heart It's a real war Right outside your front door, I tell ya Out where they'll kill ya, You could use a friend Where the road is: That's the place for me Where I'm me In my own space, Where I'm free - That's the place I want to be 'Cause The road is long and Each step is only the beginning No breaks, just heartaches Oh man, is anybody winning? It's a long road And it's hard as well Tell me what do you do to survive When they draw first blood That's just the start of it Day and night You gotta fight To keep alive It's a real war Right outside your front door, I tell ya Out where they'll kill ya, You could use a friend 'Cause The road is long and Each step is only the beginning No breaks, just heartaches Oh man, is anybody winning? The road is long and Each step is only the beginning No breaks, just heartaches Oh man, is anybody winning? It's a long road, It's a long road.

Yes. Trust me to see the sequel before the original. Butt in my defense was a mere MiniJoker , so had to rely on somebody else to rent the vid-e-o (As they called such things back then)
End credits song to
Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream Make her the cutest that I've ever seen Give her two lips like roses and clover And tell her that her lonely nights are over Sandman, I'm so alone Don't have nobody to call my own Please turn on your magic beam Mr. Sandman bring me a dream Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream Make her the cutest that I've ever seen Give her the word that I'm not a rover And tell her that her lonely nights are over Oh, Sandman, I'm so alone Don't have nobody to call my own So please turn on your magic beam Mr. Sandman bring me a dream Oh, Sandman, bring us a dream Make her the cutest that I've ever seen Give her two lips like roses and clover And tell her that her lonely nights are over Oh, Sandman, I'm so alone Don't have nobody to call my own So please turn on your magic beam Mr. Sandman bring me a dream Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream Make her the cutest that I've ever seen Give her two lips like roses and clover And tell her that her lonely nights are over

A great heavy metal song from the soundtrack on Wes Craven's masterpiece Shocker (1989). Who are the members of The dudes of Wrath, you may ask? Well...there's Paul Stanley from KISS, Tommy Lee from Motley Crue, Rudy Sarzo from Whitesnake, Vivian Campbell from Dio and Def Leppard, Guy Mann-Dude and the producer Desmond Child (who wrote Poison for Alice Cooper, Living On A Prayer for Bon Jovi and many, many more...). This song kicks ass, so does the entire album by the way. See the Shadow of a Stranger Turn around, your life's in Danger This crazy world is in a grave Situation Check the Children, are they sleeping ? Will they wake from the sirens screamin ? Don't blame the Heavens this is man's creation. Shocker ! Shocker ! We're led like Lambs to the Slaughter Shocker ! Shocker ! We're in the Fire and it just getting hotter See the light it's the City burnin' The homeless Shudder cause the leaves are turnin' Winter's coming with it's cold compassion A killer's loose and the dead stand trial, Cause God's the only Witness on File Man's Inhumanity to Man's in fashion! We will have the Power We will have the Glory In our shining Hour We will write our own Story We will have our own World We will have it our Way Standing like a Tower The Sun will shine on our Day

Another great song from John Caffery and his band, the Brown Beavers. Cafferty's a legend to me and this tune which ends 1986 Sly Stalone's action film Cobra totally rocks! You better wake up, little Johnny Better wake up real soon The time has come now For me and you Spent those years dreaming But the dreams didn't last Time is moving much too fast Turn the radio on Well they built those factories With blood, sweat and steel Coming down fast under The weight of the wheel Hey, little Johnny There ain't no room for you Tell me, Johnny Am I getting through? Turn the radio on With every beat of the drum Then go out in the streets With the voice of America's sons There ain't no one today Tonight someone will play Out in the streets Hear the voice of America's sons Well, they're fighting in the jungles And they're fighting in the streets They're playing those games Man, they're playing for keeps Hey, little Johnny When they call on you Tell me, Johnny What are you gonna do? Turn the radio on Turn the radio on Turn the radio on With every beat of the drum Then go out in the streets Hear the voice of America's sons Turn the radio on With every beat of the drum Then go out in the streets Hear the voice of America's sons

David Bowie - Cat People (Putting Out Fire) See these eyes so green I can stare for a thousand years Colder than the moon It's been so long Feel my blood enraged It's just the fear of losing you Don't you know my name? You've been so long And I've been putting out the fire with gasoline See these eyes so red Red like jungle burning bright Those who feel me near Pull the blinds and change their minds It's been so long Still this pulsing night A plague I call a heartbeat Just be still with me You wouldn't believe what I've been through You've been so long Well it's been so long And I've been putting out the fire with gasoline Putting out the fire With gasoline See these tears so blue An ageless heart that can never mend These tears can never dry A judgment made can never bend See these eyes so green I can stare for a thousand years Just be still with me You wouldn't believe what I've been through You've been so long Well it's been so long And I've been putting out fire with gasoline Putting out fire with gasoline Well it's been so long (been so long) I've been putting out fire (been so long) It's been so long (been so long) Been putting out fire (been so long) It's been so long (been so long) Been putting out fire (been so long) Been so long (so long, so long) Been so long (so long, so long) Been putting out fire (been so long, so long, so long) Been putting out fire (been so long, so long, so long) Been so long Putting out fire (been so long, so long, so long) Been putting out fire (been so long, so long, so long) Been so long Been so long (so long, so long) Been so long (so long, so long)
