Any fans of the movie Lifeforce?
Lifeforce was that "big budget B movie" from 1985, whose main attraction was Mathilda May appearing completely nude throughout the film. A few years ago there was talk of a remake, and even a television series based on the movie. Nothing seems to have come of it, however. But how do fans of the movie feel about a remake?
My opinion on remakes is that this movie could be greatly improved, but the performance by May as the head vampire would be difficult for any actress to duplicate. Sure plenty of actresses have appeared nude in plenty of movies, but May's nude performances were something else. Of course, they could do a remake, and have no nudity, but for fans of the original movie, this would be a huge disappointment. Here's a video featuring some of the more memorable scenes of Mathilda May in Lifeforce: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xi0F...CLB8hTQ&t=205s |

Even without the lovely Mathilda May it's one of the best trashy movies ever made, but with Mathilda May it's a sublime experience.

The number of actors who turned it down is breathtaking - about four for every main part on average. I bunked off work one afternoon with a pal to see it. Wished we hadn't...except for Mathilda May!

This movie had it all! Space faring energy vampires, zombie plague, big swords, and tits!
The only movie that had more of the bases covered: Night Of The Creeps. |

I don't know that I'd call myself a fan, borrowed a vhs dubbed copy from someone and put it on a number of times. It was my introduction to Patrick Stewart and I admit to fapping a few times to scenes of Ms May.
I do recall one exceptionally horribly acted scene with the hero needs to force some chick to talk and he has to slap her around and tells another dude this and if he, the other dude minds. The other dude says in the most badly acted way imaginable, "Not at all, I am a natural voyeur." The only way it could have been worse was if he leaned back and lit a cigarette or pulled out his dong and started fapping. |

Without the sublime Mathilda it would have been mediocre at best. I don't normally gravitate to brunettes, but I have to admit that she was one of the most beautiful of all women ever committed to film.

I loved 8t then and I just watched it again and I still love it. Would definitely want a remake. A little more suspense would help too.

Stewart is typically wonderful (I love the way he pronounces the word "naughty") and I've always loved Steve Railsback, too. They provide a lot of the non-May enjoyment in this.
I really love the way all of the cops and security guards consistently underestimate her. I understand that they're likely distracted and not getting as much blood to their brains as normal but they wander into dumb move after dumb move and it's increasingly enjoyable and hilarious as the movie proceeds. |
