I've been looking for scenes of striptease girls doing that nipple tassel twirling business. I know there are a few movies with such scenes, one starring Burt Lancaster as a daredevil parachutish featured such a scene in a bar, and the movie of the British sitcom Nearest and Dearest also had something similiar.

I recall one the the 80s Electric Blue Big Boob specials had this too, but despite it being a popular part of stripping at one time it doesn't seem to be particularly well represented on the internet or in porn as far as my searches up till now have revealed. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.

Burlesque has made a bit of a limited come back but the bawdiness seems to have gone in favour of more of an artistic feel and something's been lost along the way - bouncing knockers mostly.

Well, VEF seems the best place to enquire after such films.

Cant recall the name of the movie, but I think the Steptoe and Son movie where Harold marries the stripper has a tassle scene, but I stand to possibly be corrected.

That is one of the best dance/strip movies I have seen.

The camera man flails around to much...just let each gal do her thing for a minute or two fer' crying out loud...but better than 90% of the dance tapes.

Why this theme is always ignored or trivialized is beyond me!

Any one have the rest of this, or know where to track down the entire tape or series, by all means!

Having just found this thread, after looking at the films mentioned which feature this theme, I'm pleased to share the fact that the Hylda Baker movie - Nearest and Dearest (Hammer Films) contains an excellent sequence of tassel twirling during the scene in the club with a stripper. This movie is available on dvd now. It's also well worth having as an example from the golden age of British comedy.
