Good man! Figured it was now a good time to go with that avatar.

In the driftless area? Or further north? I'm going to be in the Blue River area in the next few days. Hoping to actually get some trout fishing in over there.

I've also been lucky to get to a couple games at Camp Randell stadium. It is a blast!
My dad and I were season ticket holders for around 15 years. So, obviously, its also one of my favorite places. One of my favorite memories was the game with Purdue when Ron Dayne was closing in on the rushing record, Drew Brees was having one hell of a year and both were hoping for the Heisman. I think Brees threw for 300 or 400 yards and Ron ran for over 200. In my experience, that night was the most electric I remember.

This couple Rhys Higgins and Lisa Gray were convicted of outraging public decency after being arrested after performing a sex act in public view in a Swansea McDonalds car park .

It must have been a blow for him .

I missed that game. I didn't know that WPTV broad casted the games Saturday nights at that time

Then again Miz, 30 years after Wham! split up "Wake Me Up" is still the staple of works dos and wedding receptions. Even I confess to bopping along to it at a work's Christmas do. Christmas isn't complete without George crooning "Last Christmas". Who'd have thought in 1987 that Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" would become an Internet age gimmick. I even recall people singing it at work only a few months back. So who knows, maybe 30 years from now people will still be singing along to "That's What Makes You Beautiful" at their parties.

WTF?? The US State Dept. intercedes because it would be a hard ship on some poor Palestinians? What about the families and friends of the slaughtered? Man my country is really screwed up IMO.

NEW YORK
Palestinian authorities found liable in a high-profile lawsuit over Americans killed in terrorist attacks must pay $10 million in cash — and an additional $1 million monthly payment while the case is on appeal — to secure the hundreds of millions awarded by a jury, a U.S. judge said Monday.
In ordering the security payment, Manhattan federal Judge George B. Daniels said he had given significant thought to a motion filed this month by the U.S. State Department, which intervened in the case via the Department of Justice to argue a high bond could threaten the stability of the region by straining the cash-strapped Palestinians.
The payment also mirrored the amount proposed by a lawyer for the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian Authority, who argued that forcing the Palestinians to front an expensive bond payment would have dire human costs for the people living in the territories.
“Respectfully, a million means a lot to the Palestinian Authority,” Mitchell Berger told the judge, noting that the amount could cover welfare for 9,500 families or build one school in Gaza.

Kent Yalowitz, a lawyer representing victims and survivors of attacks that killed 33 people and injured hundreds more, had asked that the Palestinians pay $20 million, describing the ordered payment as a “rounding error” for them. A jury awarded $218.5 million in damages this year in a lawsuit brought by victims and survivors of a series of bombings and shootings in Israel from 2002 to 2004. The damages were automatically tripled by the U.S. Anti-Terrorism Act. ASSOCIATED PRESS

Good point gedly, but fortunately for me I've never intentionally heard any of 1D's songs and have no plans to change that happy state of affairs
Mind you, I might have heard loads of their songs without realising it was by Cowell's cash-cows and thought, "Hmm, that's not half bad"
I think that the safe, poppy, middle-of-the-road Astley/Wham/Stock Aitkin and Waterman fare of the 80's will outlast the current safe, poppy, middle-of-the-road Cowell muzak.
I've still got a couple of C90 cassette tapes stored away which are filled with diabolically awful recordings I "lifted" from the old Sunday night Radio 1 Top 40 countdowns.
A highlight is Phil Collins singing "In the Air Tonight" complete with snaps crackles and pops from a nearby thunderstorm.

Let me get one thing straight = these boys ID were THIRD in a nationwide talent contest yet they are now the BIGGEST boy band in the world, earning £27m each and part-owners of a milkshake bar near me? How does that work? If they were only good for 3rd place it must have been the influence of Say-mon Cowell. We now hear they aren't splitting up but taking a break even though the magnificent five have become the slightly less impressive, yet still fab four. Haven't we been there before with Take That? What I find astounding is the amount of teenagers, mostly girls, who feel their whole world will be destroyed if they do split up - I was a little upset at the Police splitting up but I didn't go on about it or go into a coma...girls eh? funny creatures but extremely LOUD!
