It won't, but it's still a fantastic show. S1 especially was amazing.

Just watched the first two episodes of a new scyfy series, The Orville, very loosely based on the newer Star Treks's'
It is okay so far with a lot of comedy and some action too. I will keep watching to see if they can develop a bit higher level of writing. It can take a while for that to develop.

If you're talking about The Orville, it's Seth McFarlane's show. Just finished watching last night's episode---which pays homage to both the original Star Trek and The Twilight Zone. Very funny ending. The show is kind of like Galaxy Quest. So far so good. I give it a B-.

Season two of Upstart Crow. As funny as David Mitchell is, it's Mark Heap as Robert Greene the Queen's toadying Master of the Revels who steals the show.
And the first episode of The Orville. I'm not sure I'd put such a bunch of petulant manchilds in charge of a starship, but overall it was better than I was anticipating.

To Seth McFarlane, petulant manchilds are funny.

Try Search Party as well. It's another TBS show. It's quite different from People Of Earth but still amazing. It's like a meaningful drama wrapped inside silly comedy wrapped inside a noir mystery.

Thanks. Watched E01 last night and you're right it is very different. Not sure if I like it or not yet.
