To me, a real sport is something that has a way to measure success. When I watch the Olympics, for example, I enjoy watching diving, but is that really a sport? The same with skating. It's far too subjective to the judgment of the judges. Although referees can make some mistakes at times, at least there is a way you can review the play if there is some kind of problem with the call. A diver makes less of a splash than another and twirls around in the air. I know they have worked hard to perfect their craft, which is admirable. People that work hard deserve recognition no doubt. But the outcome depends on the judgment of the person scoring the dive. I really don't know, but kind of throwing some ideas out there to consider. At least I am not recognizing WWE as a sport.

I remember darts and pool, waiting for my turn. Wearing a three piece suit with a pie in one hand and a pint in the other hand with a cigar in the ashtray.Nah.

As the great Yogi Berra said, “Baseball is 90 percent mental. The other half is physical.”

All very subjective. A sport simply has to have an element of competition, that's all. Poker is sport, video games are a sport. The focus on physical exertion is far too narrow. There are competitive wall building competitions that fulfil the physical and skill requirements, therefore it is sport.
