I've been there, way back.
Went to a wedding in Melbourne on a very hot Saturday night, reception finished at about 11 PM, after that we decided to go gambling at the Casino, stumbled out of there very drunk sometime after dawn. The girls that drive up were sober drove home and got us lost and by the time we got back to Geelong it was about 9 am and already stinking hot, this was one of those days headed for above 110 F

Anyway, someone suggest we go to this beach named Point Addis, so we went.
we got there and a Mate of mine and I who were still drunk and running on no sleep flaked out on our beach towels... bad mistake. Hours later, no sun screen, my legs and feet were red as palo's communist flag .

That night, I filled the bath with very luke warm water and spent the best part of the next 3 days in there, even moved the TV into the bathroom and watched a lot of a Cricket Test match between the West Indies and Australia.

I could not walk it was that painful. Didn't wear any footware for about 7 days.

But, in true Aussie fashion, I blame the bride of the wedding, had she said no at the alter, we wouldn't have stayed out that late and gotten drunk
