None. Most of my music is either on a hard drive connected to my stereo or on a USB stick for my car sound system or my home theater. The rest is on reel-to-reel tapes or on several hundred LPs. I really hate digital music. Much prefer analog. It might be older but it does sound much better.

I'm a bit like the flu and spiderccp. I have music in all formats (nearly, no mini disc or 8 track) I have a serious Hi Fi System and a Digital Server. i use the latter when about the house and doing something else other than listening to the music. When just listening, I sit myself down between the main speakers and well just listen. Sometimes Vinyl sometimes CD, depends on how I have it or the mood I am in, and what I am listening to.
I have well over 3000 cd's, 900 albums, countless singles and 12" singles (I used to DJ) 150 Cassetts, and about 25 reel to reel compilation tapes from years ago. I have not yet completed ripping all my cd's but have 2697 albums on my NES, which is 6tb so far(as if I can I keep music at full band width or studio master quality) I have some favourite artistes and own everything they have released (except bootlegs) and in quite a lot of cases on two or three formats. I (thinking about it for a moment) really have too much, and even though I have ripped files, I can't throw out the original.

No lie, I probably have, if not exactly 500, maybe close to 500 physical CDs, all from the 90's and early 2000s. And I feel bad about it because it wasn't even I who paid for any of them. Almost every week my parents would buy me one album if I kept my head above water and did well in school. Now whenever they need a little financial help and I feel reluctant they push all the CDs they bought me back in my face.

Without physically counting, around about 800 - 900.
In quieter times they were store alphabetically, then compilations. Now in my more hectic life they appear everywhere - in vehicles, the workshop, various rooms. I seldom buy new now; most modern music leaves me cold, and the regulat compilations that appear at Fathers Day and Christmas each year permutate 20 from 40 or so songs of Dadrock. CDs are so ridiculously cheap on Ebay and charity shops now, that I'm happy to buy a second copy than spend time trying to find my original. |

When I was a younger man I had a big sound system and music on vinyl, disc and tape, today it's all Spotify played through the car's system or Echo Dot. I gave my vinyl and discs to my daughter.

Quick tot up I reckon around 800 cds, 500 LP's. Only 100 odd singles. I've got 5 versions of Straits Alchemy, Vinyl, VHS, CD, DVD and the song book.
However the ultimate prize probably belongs to Message in a Bottle. I've got it on black, green & blue vinyl 7" single, in 2 songbooks, on the LP Regatta De Blanc, the Cassette of Regatta De Blanc, the Message in a Box CD compilation. The Police Around the World VHS, the Synchronicity Concert video, VHS and DVD... the list is endless, I've got well over 30 versions of that song, but if I want to hear that song. I just pick up a guitar and play it. Mind Roxanne and Can't Stand Losing You are pretty much in the same ball park.

Guesstimating around 1100 cd's and around 300 blu-ray/dvd's.
I prefer physical media over streaming. |
