Celebrate VEF's 10th Birthday Ye Bastards

In June VEF will commemorate ten years of existence. As this magnificent place hurtles towards puberty, share your stories of what this site's meant to you, your memorable experiences, friends you've made and huge quantities of time you've wasted here.

I joined in late 2007 as a back-up alternative to a smaller forum that had crashed. Two of my initial posts were promptly binned because I used an unapproved pic host, so I left in a huff and stayed away for months. But like a stray cat who knows where the good food is, I came back eventually...and stayed.

I knew about this place for several years, visited on and off occasionally through the years. I really don't know why I didn't join earlier? Better late than never I guess.

Some time after joining, I discovered GD&N. Some threads were interesting, so I posted on them

But a spooky mod freaked me out and said I was flooding the Forum. I still get complexes and nightmares about his PMs today

Then suddenly he disappeared

Has anyone seen a movie called "The Usual Suspects" ?

Happy 10th VEF

We're 10

The forum is older than some of us act here

This thread could be like one of those long running TV shows that have a special 100th episode show recounting it's history.

I don't know what my stand out moment is, been countless of them.

I think the best thing for me about VEF is that it is my home away from home, It's kept me sane and yet somehow gone insane because of it also with the modding responsibilities. But my favorite thing here is getting to know many members, a lot of whom I'd dearly love to have a beer or 10 with.

I look at palo's previous post and his comment about mv

Palo and I are opposed in a lot, but he's a mate

That's what this forum, and there a certain nutcase mod who I'd call a brother and we kept each other insase on instant messenger and, a huge thanks to him

This forum has kept me good company and hope it's kept you all good good company also

VEF was just 3 years old when I joined. They grow up so fast.

I was looking for anything by Tamara Radaz and that voyage led me to EGAFD and from there to VEF. To see the content, I had to register here. That was in 2008 and it took me two years to start exploring this place and once I discovered GD&N, I knew I'm here to stay. What amazed me was the level of discussion. This wasn't just a porn forum but a classy community and highly informative with plenty of nice people around, maintaining that quality. Soon I forgot about the porn and kept returning for the people. Well, I didn't forget about the porn, but it's pretty much irrelevant because VEF deserves more respect. We're no longer some anonymous porn consumers. We've become friends. I like how we all interact with other, even when we disagree. There's always respect and no insults. No other porn forum offers a similar feel of community. Not just porn forums but online forums generally. That's why I like you guys, even those I disagree with on some crucial topics. Our differences don't mean we can't learn from each other. But you have to stay loyal to your convictions. You can express them without calling others degrading names. I've very proud that VEF gave me the opportunity to meet so many great folks all over the planet and thank you for welcoming me, especially since I'm younger and certainly have much more to learn about life and the world. Keep VEF the classy place it is and never forget that friendship comes before rules.

Of course, I've only been here for six of those but in those six years this place has become a big part of My life.If I'm honest a little too big a part but I couldn't imagine living without it.I've made friends all over the World(and Norwich),learned things I'd never have learned anywhere and found an outlet for My useless knowledge,half baked opinions and crap jokes.
