Default Swansea sack manager Paul Clement after less than a year in charge

Swansea City have sacked manager Paul Clement with the club bottom of the Premier League, having won just three times this season.

Clement, 45, took charge in January with Swansea in the relegation zone and guided them to a 15th-place finish.

Chairman Huw Jenkins said that changing the manager halfway through a season "was the last thing we wanted to do".

He said: "We felt we couldn't leave it any longer and needed to make a change to give the best chance of an uplift."

Swansea announced that assistant managers Nigel Gibbs and Karl Halabi have also left the club.

The Welsh club says it will give a further update on replacement coaching staff "within the next 24 hours".

I really hope they go down this time. Their treatment of managers for a long time now has been really shabby.

Pulis seems like the obvious choice to replace Clement, though even he would struggle with the current Swansea squad.

Swansea apparently not interested in Pullis, considering Koeman or Bilic, which seems really odd.

You have to wonder what Football Club's reality check is with their expectations of Managers? Clement seems like a reasonable coach, but like Rafa at the Toon, he has a Chamionship level squad. No surprise that's the direction they are heading toward, then?

They expect miracles from increasingly dwindling resources. They've only to look at Burnley to see what can be achieved by having some patience.

Congratulations! It looked like an awesome night for home fans. Still, I blame it on unlucky grey away kits...

It's just reward for sticking by Johnson when the City went through almost half of last season without a win. Memories of 89 against Forest.

For those who don't know, City played Forest in the semis. After a 1-1 draw away the replay was 0-0 when in the last minute Alan Walsh hit the post for City. Forest won in extra time.

That's bizarre. Maybe Pulis has already indicated he's not interested.

Why do they think Koeman or Bilic has a better chance of keeping them up than Pulis? I can't see Koeman taking the job unless he's that desperate to get back into management. Swansea is a massive step backward given the squad and resources there. And Bilic did little more than tread water at West Ham. They're going to need more than a temporary bounce.

Koeman might be a good choice if he had the time and money to build a new team, but given Swansea's recent revolving door policy he'd be well advised to steer clear.

Default Arsenal 3 - 3 Liverpool

Gordon Bennett ! !

A match and a half if ever.

Arsenal 0-2 behind, Liverpool cruising and really wasting shots against a team that seemed low on energy...or even low on interest.

In a 4 minute spell the gunners had 3 shots and scored 3 times.

Liverpool pulled it level..and as Milner said, Liverpool need to be more boring

If I win the lottery, I'm taking a contract out on Mingolet...geezz...nutmeged by a gentle header, uses one hand to try and swat away a ball..misses...

I know Liverpool's defence is highly suspect...... BUT...how many points has Mingolet lost this season?

Brill match though ~ bet Burnley and Spurs took notes and loved it
