So you mean a town like Alice?

A place called Oodnadatta
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oodnadatta
That place had the highest actual recorded temp here, but in the outback it could get hotter but nobody would know because of the sparse, very sparse population.

Maybe that place should be twinned with this place:

It's the coldest permanently inhabited place on earth. The lowest recorded temperature is -71.2C. You'd love it!

Question

Kevin here. Oonadatta is probably no good for my purposes. The population of the town is too small(less than 277 people). They probably would not have enough things to serve my needs. These include: cable t.v. internet service, all the same foods I can get in the U.S. such as Lactaid milk, Lean Cuisine frozen microwavable meals, Raisin Bran, High fiber bread,non-fat flavored yogurt, and various kinds of fruits, and frozen veggies and desserts, and finally some decent pizza.

Sydney has fantastic fresh food. I didn't know what some of it was, especially the fish

Do they allow that US genetically-modified, processed frankenstein food in AUS?

Yeah, but I don't see what the problem is. People have been breeding to improve plant food and livestock since forever. Today’s techniques just use new ways of identifying particular characteristics and transferring them between living organisms. They're not on track to create a super soldier or cornbread that gives you cancer.
