CC data in CSV format The title is not specific about the type of data, so we could add other stuff like mag, film and video data later. This should keep the thread active for a long time. Quote:
Note that the suggested CC data in CSV format title goes well with the amazing CC early mags with cartoon covers thread. |

Suggestion :
fannatastic's Post 103# should also move to to top in both Threads . I think it is very important to understand this Thread. Last edited by icu; July 30th, 2008 at 08:11 AM.. |

Maybe some content for .P, .M
------------- Start "There is a lot of useful info on VEF. Unfortunately most of it is not in an easy-to-use format. It's great for someone to share what he knows and it would be equally great if other people could copy and import the data into a database, without the need to type all the data again. That is why I think CSV format is important."* What we want is a "reliable reference between loop/clip titles and magazine stories completed with references to corresponding CC photo sets and rdx scan sets"** The first Step is to fill a Referencelist with useful Content: It is banned to post content against the Rules. It would destroy all Efforts at once ! Very nice Contributions are by example : - to recogznise a Photoset in a Magazine and post the Magazin Title - to know the number of a Story in a Magazin - to Post a corrected Story Title. - to see Similarities between a Magazin Story and a Video - to correct a Error in the Reference - to send info's in CSV Format - to find a Link to clean Sources like www.********com or www.jaybirdz.com with Covers or the Startpage of a Story with a readable Story-Title - (...) A Database is useless if you can't find what you are searching for. The second Step is to merge the Information with other CSV-Data's to get Bridges to a Startpoint in the CSV. - ID of a Actress / Actor. *** Please notice that there is a existing CSV-Thread. Post Infos about Actors / Actresses only to that Place please. This is just the beginning - we need your knowledge. ---------- End * fannatastic ** Al, handles .P, .M *** handles .A Last edited by icu; July 30th, 2008 at 09:20 AM.. |

Script 'CSV-Edtior 1.01'
Today I wrote a script to compile a little CSV-Edtior 1.0 ( this first Version is only for .P lines ).
It increases the Speed with min. Factor 20 or faster. It checks and secures the Syntax. There are some Features to reduce typing to an absolutly minimum. It is unlimited Freeware, OpenSource and Ultra-Compact. The 'CSV_ED.EXE' takes 12 KB space on your HD ( if there runs a VB on your PC ). I have no commercial interests. This File opens no other Files, it only uses the clipboard. I'm writing nothing to the registry. Use on own Risk ( I think that's a good deal ). Perhaps this is a good way to transfor the content to other platforms like mac or linux. How to compile with Win 95,98,2000,NT,ME,XP... 1. Create a Folder on Your HD. 2. Move the content of the Code-Windows via Copy/Paste to a Texteditor and save both to the new Folder : - File 1 : Edit.mak ( use Edit.vbs for VB6.0 ) - File 2 : Edit.frm Open File 1 with your Visual Basic, run it in Environment or compile it after testing. That's all. Please give me your suggestions ( good/bad/bugs/problems... ) I am planning to write a Speed-Demo ( VB-Script ) for CSV ( if there is any interest ) to show what is possible. File 1 : Edit.mak Code:
EDIT.FRM ProjWinSize=392,954,248,99 ProjWinShow=2 IconForm="Form1" Title="EDIT" ExeName="CSV_ED.EXE" Code:
