Cops nowadays make up the bullshittest of charges just to arrest someone.
Criminal Trespassing. How was she Trespassing Criminally when she was at a Social Services (Welfare) office which the door is always unlocked and open during business hours on business days to intake anyone with or without an appointment. Code:

We also have security guards in what are laughingly called Jobcentre+'s
On the very few occasions I have been there lots of workshy scroungers come in to collect their benefits they get asked a few questions and leave smiling. When I was called up I had to prove I had applied for other jobs and when I showed them 8 applications I had made in the previous two weeks the dozy young tart behind the counter asked if I was making enough effort. I asked her how old she was and when she answered I told her I had worked in my last job longer than she had been alive and that I regarded her query as an insult. It's no wonder with some of the tossers they employ they need security guards.

Brexit vote at Commons now cancelled -no date set for a new one if there is one at all. The EU won't budge on the final deal-she is due to meet her counterparts in Brussels shortly and speak with Tusk, Juncker and Barnier etc. I can't see that anything is going to happen, they won't move or change their minds so what she is going to do is anyone's guess. The people's vote is increasingly gaining momentum or another referendum OR we walk away with no deal at all-its all a bloody great shambles and sooner or later there WILL be a leadership challenge and that's not great either considering who would put their hat in the ring.
In other news: I see that the critics are saying they prefer the less gory Watership Down cartoon to the original. Why water it down? If you read the story it is a struggle to leave their warrens being in danger of humans destroying them AND the conflict between the older rabbits-you expect there to be fights. The film was gory yes, but as kids watching it we didn't get affected that much-it's just part of life even for animals-can't always be a Disney-style world for kids. I just hope it keeps faithful to the original story and keeps some of the original film's elements.

Nasa's Voyager 2 probe 'leaves the Solar System'
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-46502820 Some great non political news for a change The probe's present location is some 18 billion km (11 billion miles) from Earth. It is moving at roughly 54,000km/h (34,000mph). Voyager 1 is further and faster still, at 22 billion km and 61,000km/h. Not bad for 70's technology

How has it not collided with anything during those 11 billion miles?
Is NASA still in contact with it and know it's still alive or do they just assume that by this time after all these years, it should be leaving the solar system now? |

Not too likely to hit anything except the very occasional microscopic grain of dust. Try to imagine all the mileage of roads on earth multiplied by a thousand, then imagine just you and one other person in the world have cars to drive on them with. How likely are you to get into a crash with that other person, or ever even see their car? It's like that. They are probably still in contact with it, IIRC those things have nuclear power generators which last a pretty long time. I forget what the half-life of the isotope in those things is, but even if it's dropped down to a quarter or so of the original wattage in terms of power generation that is still enough to send messages with.

But it's so far from earth, when it sends a message, doesn't it take forever for that message to be received here?
In the meantime, it may have already collided with something, plenty of rocks flying around space or even with a planet or a moon that is not on any of our maps. |

A collision with an unknown planet or moon is very unlikely. Both spacecraft already left the most dangerous areas in our solar system and they're aiming for the Oort cloud which Voyager 1 will reach in about 300 years but we're not going to know that unless there's a technology advanced enough to track it down because Voyager will stop transmitting its position during the mid-2020s. Most of its instruments have been shut down a long time ago. It's a remarkable spacecraft that has outlived its purpose in the early 1990s and it's still out there, calling home. |
