I just had a parcel delivered . According to the couriers online tracking service the item is still in Swindon and due to arrive on ... Thursday . What in the wide world of fuck is the point of that . Its worse than useless I'd would have a better idea of delivery time if I'd relied on pure guesswork or thrown a dart at a calender .

I know the frustration

Had delivery the other week which would have been re-delivered to sender as courier company doesn't deliver to Parcel Lockers (preferred option as mail theft very high where I live)

So I asked them to deliver to the courier's own drop-off point nearest me which they did (signed for and delivered on tracking site) but upon my arrival at said address to collect item owner not only denied signing for a parcel but also denied they were a drop-off point for this company despite being on the site as a drop-off point

So numerous emails, calls, etc got me nowhere until I threatened to take action with authorities and suddenly the parcel had not been delivered and was stuck in the depot so would there be another alternative address to send to

Oh and couriers who don't bother to even attempt delivery and just drop off 'Sorry we missed you cards' because walking another 10 meters from the mailbox to ring door bell takes too much time out of their day annoy the hell out of me too....

Surely that's better than the tracking service telling You that the parcel has been delivered when it is actually still in Swindon..

My theory is that we always try to run governments as cheaply as possible. Why can't terrorists do something useful and blow up the studios of these stupid no talent shows and reality shows and soap operas. Not sure what category love island and bachelor fall into but blow them the fuck up as well.

This has happened to me a couple of times, but one time I was waiting for my package (a new DVD player) to arrive. It was already a few days past the promised/estimated delivery date.
I do a tracking with the numbers provided and it showed that my package was delivered 6 days prior. So I get on the phone to the company/seller, and their tracking also shows that it was delivered. I said to them, I don't know where it was delivered but it sure as hell was not delivered here to me!

The company/seller contacted the carrier (I believe it was UPS). It was found that my package was delivered to a Harold Schwartz having the same street address and Town name as me but in a different State. (What are the odds of that?) So I said, well I hope Harold Schwartz is enjoying my DVD player!

The company was apologetic and pretty good about it. They reshipped me another one with free expedited shipping and I received it the next day.
